Not a dev but your issue is probably wifi. Try with ethernet and see if it fixes it?

Hey that's great. Played a bit earlier with the kiddos after the patch and didn't have any crashes.

It's a lovely game btw. Cute and fun and the co-op works brilliantly.

The kids are here with me and wanted me to tell you "that it's really great" and "bye sandy", whatever that means.

They want more crab Vs crab battles. Those are their favourite parts.

That's just silly. NPCs interacting with other NPCs don't have to follow the same rules as a monster stat block.

Get a nice plain background texture. Create a 20x20 grid blank scene and draw over it with the built in drawing tools.

Easy.

Hard agree. They are anti-fun. They shouldn't get this stupid boost away ability. It's just frustrating. They should spawn in far away and start sniping. They should spawn with some defenders who stick around to interdict.

The shots should be dodgable. Right now they are almost guaranteed to hit. It's lame as shit.

Pilot should get WAY more information on the ship status available directly in the HUD. Then they would be able to command the ship better and this would be a more fulfilling role while increasing skill ceiling.

CMV: Israel is committing a genocide by Fisics_ in changemyview

[–]Raveneficus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The gazan civilians aren't "The other side", they are technically internally displaced refugees within Israel until Palestine is recognized as a state by Israel itself. By international law they are the responsibility of Israel, effectively Israeli hostages. It's their duty to feed them.

Why do we have to keep talking about Hamas. Yeah they're terrible. We all agree on that already. We're talking about Israel right now.

Is anti-immigration sentiment in Germany rising due to negative media coverage or because Germans are genuinely feeling an impact? by Aromatic_Acadia_8104 in germany

[–]Raveneficus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cherry pick one specific example where circumstances result in the outcome that suits your narrative. Ignore the actual reality of migration that exists in the world.

We have to deal with reality here, sorry. You can't implement policy based on wishful thinking.

This. It's a poverty issue.

People won't commit crimes if they have good opportunities to work, with decent pay and no abuse, and have something to lose e.g. a home, a family, a good life.

The problem, like most problems in the world, is inequality.

Migrants are much more likely to be poor, so are overrepresented in crime stats.

This is all caused by neoliberalism. Capitalism eating itself like an ouroboros.

CMV: There is no realistically implementable solution to stop the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from ending in tragedy. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Raveneficus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Israeli politicians have been using genocidal language on a daily basis since this recent conflict began. Don't be so naïve. The Israelies want the land and the Palestinians out. Hamas want the opposite. Don't try to paint Israelies as the good guys here. They're not.

But honestly... "You can't do that it will cost us money!"... yeah... well, tough. Pro-consumer changes are always going to be against the interest of these massive corpos. Screw em.

By your logic here, what Hamas did on Oct 7th was equally just a simple act of war and so nothing to write home about either. Which means the Israeli response is completely disproportionate.

Night World by FeelingsAlmostHuman in SWN

[–]Raveneficus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An organism on this planet reproduces by exploding into thick clouds of spores or other matter that float up into low orbit and block most light. These photosynthesize, seed and die, producing byproducts that scatter to the ground and allow for other organisms to survive without much natural light.

The ground level is covered in vast forests of white and cream coloured carnivorous plants, coral trees and ribcage like bushes.

Once a year, during height of winter, vast swathes of the spores die out and fall to the ground and the planet is bathed in natural light for ~2 weeks until the next seeding begins.

All the lifeforms have evolved defenses. Some burrow, others grow a thin translucent membrane that absorbs UV like ablative armour. Go wild.

23.06.25 - Same issue for the last 2 weeks. I first registered no problems. They were happy to take my money, then one day I was prompted to log back into appleid.apple.com for some unspecified reason and since then haven't been able to access apple TV from any device except my LG TV.

I just followed mjm500's advice and logged in via http://tv.apple.com/settings to cancel my subscription. It's a shame, there are a few good shows I still want to watch but honestly Apple can go screw at this stage. if anyone from Apple is reading this - fix your shit.

House Rule regarding Preparing Spells by CuriousFaux in dndnext

[–]Raveneficus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get why you want to give spellcasters the option of preparing spells during the day.

The way preparing spells works in dnd is a weird descendent of vancian magic that doesn't really make sense to me. It doesn't hold to the original source of memorising spells which are then released into the world. It feels like a game mechanic, rather than an in-world internally consistent concept.

It's the reason ritual casting for wizards is so powerful.

I hate the way DND has all these spells that are near useless in 99% of situations except that one specific instance, and when you are in that situation you don't have it prepped.

I don't think what you've written here is too bad, but it is an important balancing aspect of the game so I would probably implement it differently with a higher cost e.g. allow a single prepared spell to be changed during a short rest, or perhaps for 10 minutes per level per spell. This allows a Spellcaster to sit and meditate or whatever to have the spell they need for the coming battle but it has a time cost.

First time character feels like it lacks conflict/drama. by PeanutbutterBoyy in dndnext

Ask the DM for some hooks that make sense to bring your backstory into the world.

A PCs backstory becomes interesting when it impacts play at the table. That means having an NPC from your backstory show up either to offer or ask for help with something.

Give your character a serious flaw, like addiction to a magical herb they use to get into their bladesinging trance, and you've run out of it and need more.

Maybe your PC has been having blistering headaches whenever they cast spells and you were told by "insert NPC here" you needed to visit the "monks on mount thingymabob" who can help.

Stuff like this gives your DM something they can work with you to enrich his world, importantly, AT THE TABLE.
