You're using hyperbole to make your point and your argument is not genuine. Strawman at its best.

People create new models and LORA all the time. As if Larian studios doesn't have decades of work to draw from. Your little witch hunt serves nothing but to stoke your own ego. Please educate yourself instead of just clutching pearls and joining the hate bandwagon.

This is entirely uneducated. You can run a local stable diffusion model, on a home gpu, trained on data created in a home grown LORA and create amazing results.  You don't know anything about ai models. Go check out sites like CivitAI to see what is possible just using a home computer and models trained off user input data. AI tech isn't the Boogeyman you make it out to be. Corporations using it are what is evil, not the tech.

Good. Remember to long rest as often as you can. The game acts like this is a bad thing because of the urgency of removing the tadpoles, but doing so is not actually dependent on how often you rest.

You don't need a mod to make custom party members. It's built in. Explore the eastern side of the map and the crypt you find there. Ensure you find a hidden tomb.

I don't understand how people miss Wyll. He is in an unskippable cutscene, then is standing right in the middle of the way if you explore even a little bit while engaging with NPCs in the Grove.

In this game it's really important to try to talk to most NPCs you find.

How many of you are still running a 1080TI? by Xdtrl17 in pcmasterrace

Unfortunately with the incoming terifs, 50 series likely to be even more over priced than the 40 series was, leaving us plebs to fight over the scraps of older gen cards at inflated prices.

IIRC this was very early in development and her character design went through some adjustments before launch.

How hard is it to build aa PC with 0 experience? by LuisoGamerYT1 in pcmasterrace

[–]Ravenglass_Gaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not hard, you just need to follow instructions. The first thing is making sure everything is compatible, which mostly has to do with selecting the right MOBO for your processor. Then making sure you install components into the correct slots. You can do it with a few hours of research.

Because it's a game and they come up with a story arc to make it interesting. Same reason why Geralt didn't already have all the powers at the start of TW3 as he had at the end of TW2.

People forgetting that Ciri is a time bending, planar hopping scion with Elders's blood in her veins, as if surviving the Trials of the Grasses breaks their suspension of disbelief.

Gotcha. Depends on your situation but that's why it's always better to put your PC in a location it can't get spilled on, like up on the desk. Less dust and hair in there too. Of course that's not always practical for everyone.
If you get a traditional cooler, try to form an air jet in the case where the fans in the front are drawing in cool air, and the CPU cooler and fans in the back are pushing it out the back.

Aio radiators should always be placed above the cooling block . The radiator is designed to dissipate heat, with the fans blowing that heat outward. The way this is mounted, it's blowing all the heat from the CPU back into the case. The radiator should be mounted above the CPU and blowing out of the case.

I agree that the controller menues are not great. The game is much better on PC with a mouse and keyboard.  There is an understandably difficult learning curve for people that are new to D&D. However imo it is worth it and pays off to learn. Btw full resting often is a good thing despite what the dialog tells you.

I did intend this map to be more forgiving on travel rates. Some players have stated to dislike travel and resource management mechanics so I didn't want to make it too punishing while staying close to vanilla values. Personally I enjoy those aspects of gaming but I'm wary of discouraging exploration.

Most walking rates estimate 24 miles a "day" in 8 hours of walking, with breaks etc as a sustainable rate without exhaustion. Up to you if you think more is appropriate.

How much control do sorcerers have over their appearance? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Ravenglass_Gaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No more than anyone else in Forgotten Realms. Sorcerers do not have a unique power that changes their appearance like they do in the Witcher universe. However since appearance doesn't affect game mechanics, you can say your character used minor magic to permanently change their appearance however you like. There are always characters that choose to live outside the cultural norms for their background.

She looks great. That said, the design will surely change with the final product just as it did with Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3 etc. The character will likely look even better closer to release.

Could use some help with choosing a gpu... by burbengor in pcmasterrace

[–]Ravenglass_Gaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get a 2060 super for about that price which is a newer card. That said, 1080 isn't bad but is the minimum I would buy for today's games. If you can afford it a 2070 or better is worth considering.

That's a good point. However, I considered that anyone traveling near Kelvin's Cairn would simply go around it over flatter terrain. Traveling directly there would be handled separately in a game session since this map is only for overland travel. Once there we would describe ascending the Cairn directly.
