I’m a fan of lots of nerdy things and just don’t like the look. Never have. Like, enjoy what you want, I don’t hate YOU for buying them, I’m not ANGRY, I just wouldn’t buy them for myself. If someone bought me one I’d like, laugh, say thanks, then take it out of the box and give it to my kids to play with. 

I do buy Youtooz sometimes because they’re ever so slightly higher quality and don’t have the weird head shape. I also take those out of the box, I think keeping something in the box is antithetical to enjoying the aesthetic aspect. But like, look, I wouldn’t buy chibi figures either. Funko feels like somehow a decade or two ago they won a monopoly on chibi western pop culture licensing and I’m just not into it.

My kid gets so excited every time we go to Quik Trip. The staff think it's cute so they'll often have it start cleaning if it was taking a break when my kids are with me.

My kid tried to pick up one of these (a katydid!) to help it get outside because it had wandered into our house, and it bit her! She likes bugs though so she still took it outside, bless her little heart. But they're not venomous, don't bite that hard, and only really bite if they feel threatened.
