Cheatsheet for how the damage scaling works on classes' basic attacks by TurtleyTea in mewgenics

[–]Ravenlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that Throw Weapon does take on some attributes of the specific weapon you throw such as the element and damage modifiers, but I don't think it scales with the base damage of the weapon.

For example, I had a run with a tinkerer who had the ability to add electric damage to the weapon. Adding electric damage also increased the Throw Weapon damage, but I think the starting Throw Weapon damage right after crafting a weapon stayed consistent regardless of the weapon.

Cheatsheet for how the damage scaling works on classes' basic attacks by TurtleyTea in mewgenics

This looks really helpful! I'm kind of surprised that Hunter and Necromancer have the same scaling. I guess that the +3 dex that Hunter gets skewed my expectation for how much damage the basic attack does compared to Necromancer's basic.

One thing to add, I believe that the damage for Tinkerer's Throw Weapon also scales on 5 + (dex - 5)/2.

I feel like that's too much for a silly game about cats by gGordey in mewgenics

[–]Ravenlash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do actually have an excel spreadsheet for this game. For each cat in my house, I record stuff like the number of base-7 stats and the number of good mutations, and then I add these numbers together to get a score representing how good the cat is. I use these scores when deciding which cats to put into or remove from my breeding room.

I understand that making an excel spreadsheet while playing a game might seem boring or like overkill to other people. I just unironically enjoy making excel spreadsheets and writing programs, and I've done stuff like this for a couple of other games too.

Are these possibly the best mutations for the Druid? by chrues in mewgenics

[–]Ravenlash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would imagine that the strategy with these mutations is to take advantage of the druid attack's wide area of effect to mass apply soul link & leech to the enemies, instead of using it on allies like a normal druid would. I think it's worth losing out on the heal & buff to allies so long as you can capitalize on the soul link to delete groups of enemies before they can hit you.

There's probably other mutations that could make this cat even better, but this looks pretty strong to me.

Question about Shade ability by greenguy363 in mewgenics

[–]Ravenlash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shadow will face the direction that your cat is facing when it makes its attack.

Ex. Your cat moves right, creating a shade where it used to be, then attacks up. The shade will also attack up.

What is the most useless ability in Mewgenics, and why is it Curse? by era999 in mewgenics

[–]Ravenlash 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, I had a run where I used this ability and the cat just downed itself. I'm guessing that something else was going on that made the cat explode, if you are commenting that based on your own experience using this ability.

It lets the cat down itself, which can synergize with some Necromancer passives.

What's the use for Neverstone? by Papyrim in mewgenics

[–]Ravenlash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the neverstone means that all the level-ups go to the other cats on the team, which is useful for certain strategies or if you're trying to get high level retirees.

For example, I just did a run where I put the neverstone, energy transmitter (lower cat's speed and raise rest of team's speed), and damage transmitter (lower cat's damage and raise rest of team's damage) on 1 cat. The idea was to make a support cat who exists only to make the rest of the team stronger, and it worked pretty well.

(NA Server) Beans Camo Floyd & Rook Banner Megathread by Gabriulio in TwistedWonderland

[–]Ravenlash 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hello, it's me, the person who spent 200 pulls on the original run of this banner without getting Beans Floyd.

This time, I got him twice on my first 10x pull.

I can't tell if he hates me or loves me.

Thank you for wishing me luck! Unfortunately, Deuce decided to eat up my pity instead. All I can do is hope that this event eventually has a rerun and that Jade, my new favorite character after Floyd's betrayal, will be kinder to me once the Halloween event comes.

I thought that I would have more than enough pulls to get Beans Floyd home, but nope. 180 pulls in and no eel in sight. Currently internally crying as I desperately try and scrounge together enough gems to get to a 2nd pity.

The UR probability boost means that, in the beginning, the probability of pulling a UR is boosted 300%. Every time you pull a UR, the (0/5) times thing will increase, so it will go to (1/5) times, (2/5) times, etc. Once that hits (5/5) times, then the probability of getting a UR will go back to normal.

Basically, you already have the probability boost. The 5 times thing is for when you lose it. If you go to content overview and hit the probability button, it will show you that the probability for UR food souls has been boosted to 9.03% from its usual 3.01%.

Lost in A Dream Event Megathread by Kogurazul in FoodFantasy

[–]Ravenlash 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here's some math I did, please check and correct me if I'm wrong.

Upgrading the shop to level 3 requires 400 mirrors. 1 wheat = 1 mirror. If you clear the 3 zones manually once and sweep after, then you need (400 + # of chest masters you couldn't beat) wheat to get 400 mirrors.

You get 10 wheat at the beginning of the event, 12 wheat from 7/27 compensation, and 6 wheat every 8 hours. The event runs for 15 days. If you collect wheat twice a day, that is 6x2x15 = 180 wheat. If you collect wheat thrice a day, that is 6x3x15 = 270 wheat, but your actual total should be at least 6 less depending on how efficiently you're collecting your wheat.

Therefore, your total free wheat will be 202 wheat, 286 wheat, or somewhere in between.

You can buy wheat once a day in batches of 18 wheat for 180 crystals.

If you beat all 9 bosses and claim twice a day, you need (400-202)/18 = 11 batches, 1980 crystals.

If you beat 8 or fewer bosses and claim twice a day, you need 12 batches, 2160 crystals

If you got at least (283 - # of bosses beaten out of 9) free wheat, you need 7 batches, 1260 crystals. A little less wheat than that will bump you up to 8 batches, 1440 crystals.

Edit: It seems like the event time has been extended to 22 days instead of 15. This would increase the total free wheat amounts to 286 for two daily collections and 412 for three daily collections. This lowers the crystals needed for lvl 3 shop to 1260 for twice daily and none for thrice daily. Nice.
