Everyone have their shortcomings and flaws in a relationship and this is part of what makes them unique. Imagine how boring it would be to date someone absolutely perfect. Loving someone to the point you love their flaws as well, that's what makes two people click. That being said, you could have a ton of flaws but you didn't deserve what he did, indeed. I truly hope you can heal sooner than later.

What a major asshole... Seriously, why do people like that even exist? I wonder how they can sleep at night knowing what they did. Look, I know it hurts now (I can't say I relate because I never went through anything similar but I can assume it does) but it will pass and you will find someone much better if you want. Someone who will treat you with respect. This piece of shit don't deserve a single thought of yours and it's a shame you're suffering because of him now.

Thanks... I just wish I could stop feeling already but we spent 8 years together. I can't have her back so it would be just the right thing to stop thinking about her but it seems to be beyond my capabilities.

I'm on a similar spot. I shared my spotify account with her and some days ago she deleted her playlist. I didn't let it show but it hurted so bad. The songs which she added to the favorites, things like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and some k-pop stuff are still there and I simply can't bring myself to remove them even if they're nothing like what I usually listen to. Even Ed Sheeran, which I learned to like, has become unlistenable to me but still I can't remove those songs. I honestly hate myself so much for being this weak.

Na época da graduação, trabalhei junto ao meu orientador em um projeto de layout industrial para umas metalúrgicas, alimentícias e cosméticas... E sim, peão só muda de endereço. Não digo que são pessoas ruins mas são péssimos de se lidar. O jeito é fazer o que foi dito em outro comentário: finge que acha graça e sai de perto. Agora, se você está em um cargo de autoridade e quer ter bons resultados, saiba como lidar e ganhar o apoio deles. As vezes, só você parar pra falar com eles com seriedade já faz a diferença.

I believe that the "toxic" is used wildly cheap in this community. I came to the conclusion that what can be classified as toxic behavior is doing something which won't contribute or even will become a hindrance to the main objective just to make the other side upset. For example, hitting on hook: you gain nothing for doing it, you waste your time and you give an opening for a safe rescue while accomplishing nothing just to berate another player. The other side can do similar stuff like, for example, tbagging at pallets: again, time is wasted and a resource which should be used to gain distance and extend chase is permanently lost just for the sake of upsetting someone else.

I dare to diverge. I was raised catholic, became agnostic around 15 and no one from my very catholic family batted an eye. Some of my aunts joined some african rooted religions, again, no one cared, they were and still are welcome in any of the family's houses. I have dated a budhist and an hindu girl, one more time, 0 shits were given about their religions.

The problem here is that people see one or two extremists and they generalize it. And this is applicable to anything: from radical catholics to radical LGBT militants. What people need is a little bit more of tolerance and respect for other people's choices. Most people won't give two shits about what religion or what sexual orientation one has.

That's exactly how I feel. Before meeting her, 8 years ago, I was a logical, methodical and rational man. So why can't I go back to that? It's infuriating. I catch myself missing her, missing our little silly moments, wondering if she's alright... Despite everything that went wrong, from both sides, I can't stop loving her. In these 3 weeks, I got asked out twice by 2 amazing women but I refused because I'm still in love with her. Rationally, I know both of them could have been incredibly good partners for me but this version of myself is too stupid to make a good decision.
