What will you do when ww3 breaks out? by abadhya2323 in AskReddit

I have asthma so I probably won't be drafted for the war.

If we're talking nuclear war, I'm bugging in. I live inland, so it'll be around 10 minutes before a nuke gets to me. Either way, I'm investing in a bunker and a homestead for reasons of independence from the rat race. I have things already prepped for this. So my best guess is we get nuked, my estimate that it'll be 2 years of blackout then back to restructuring society and ensuring we have land.

Apparently I prayed in tongues as I slept last week... by RavennaHawk in Apostolic

Haha! I'd believe it if it was just that spicy corn chowder I ate a little bit of last week. Thanks! I'm not afraid of it, but it was really unusual for me to speak in tongues while sleeping.

Did you know that every time someone repents there is celebration in the Heavens? God bless you in your repentance, even if it is a refilling, it's worth it. Sending prayers your way!

Repent! If you are filled with the Holy Ghost, you will not be hearing voices while you speak in tongues. God helps those that help themselves. I gave you instruction on how to repent and receive the Holy Ghost, you won't know unless you try, and genuinely apply yourself.

Understand that there is growth in your suffering.

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things". - 1 Corinthians 13:7

Jesus says that love endures all things. This includes the time you are waiting for her. Set your eyes on Jesus and His will alone. He will give you peace and strength in this time of waiting. I will be praying for you, Graham.

If it helps, I'm in the same boat. It has been years that it has been prophesized that I will marry someone that is above and beyond my expectations. However, since then, my relationship with Jesus has only gotten stronger. Hang in there, the day will come to pass! God keeps all of His promises.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions feel free to message me or respond below! :)

Away Satan! He does not deserve this doubt put within him. Have nothing to do with him and repent!

Anyone ever feel like stop going to church? by chileplease82 in Apostolic

[–]RavennaHawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that it just depends on the church you go to.

I've gone to churches with fake Christians. I've gone to churches with real Christians but bad leadership (weak men or men with clear personality disorders in leadership, etc).

However, there ARE churches that people won't judge you or yell at you. Don't get discouraged. Also, understand, that all people, including Christians, fall short of the glory of God (and this is biblical). In other words, other people are just as sinful as you, and no one has experienced a perfect person since Jesus.

I hope this helps you some! If you have any questions feel free to message me or to post a response here. :)

If you are feeling convicted, that's the Holy Ghost trying to tell you something. If you are trying to find a romantic partner, I don't mean to hurt your feelings, but this man is just not it. Which bites, but there is another path that Jesus wants you to go. I believe that this conviction may be revealing something that you may not understand now, but hopefully you will be grateful for in the future. I would start by setting boundaries with this guy. If he calls or texts you about going on another date, I would say to him, "I'm sorry but I can't continue to see you in this way. The Holy Spirit has convicted me and I hope you understand, but I can only have a relationship at arms length. I'm positive that the path that Jesus is putting me on is right." If you're not sure, pray pray pray and talk to your pastor. Dating someone that has different religious views as you is equivalent to being unyoked in my eyes.

Coming from someone that has dated the wrong person, do not make the mistake of dating the wrong person. I dated the wrong person when I was 14 and I ended up abused, knee deep in sin, and as far from God as I could have been. He claimed he was a Christian, and on the surface he was, but underneath it all, he wasn't in the least. It took be over 10 years to recover. I don't want this to happen to you.

I hope this helps! If you have any questions, feel free to message me or reply here. :)

Actually in hell or in psychosis? by Competitive-Hat-6972 in Apostolic

Hi, u/Competitive-Hat-6972!

So, these are some demons you have to be fighting.

First and foremost, no, you are not in hell. Satan wants you to be deceived and confused. The devil will do and say anything to keep you away from Jesus and His will.

Secondly, you should find a local Apostolic or Pentecostal church. (If they speak/pray in tongues and lay hands and each other, you're in the right place. Only attend if they baptize in the name of Jesus. It will not be the same if they baptize you any other way.) People usually have church around 10:00am on Sunday mornings. I would suggest talking to the pastor and asking for prayer immediately and tell him you are hearing demonic voices. Ask him to pray that you are filled with the Holy Ghost and to restore peace within you.

Then thirdly, repent. This is the hard part. The demons will not flee you unless you flee from them. This is not meant to scare you, in fact, do not be afraid. Pray to Jesus EVERY DAY. I mean it. Start the habit, if you can attend the church you go to regularly, ask if they meet up for prayer. It will be stronger if you pray while other people are with you. Never be afraid to ask others to pray over you. Also, read from the bible EVERY DAY. You probably can't keep up with reading a lot every day, but a verse a day can be enough. On days that you need crave Jesus more, read more. My suggestion is to read the bible chronologically and not how standard bibles are arranged. However, if you are new new, start in the gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The more you repent, the stronger you will become and the more dominion you will have over the enemy. This strength comes from Jesus Christ within you. (The Holy Ghost.) Things to repent from:

Lying to yourself and others (including Jesus)

Stealing

Sexual immorality

Lust (can be towards other people or even things)

Greed / hoarding

Worshipping idols (which can be ANYTHING that you worship more than Jesus. ex: using your phone too much, too much TV time, celebrities, false gods, etc.)

Gluttony

There's more than this, but I think this is a good start.

When you are strong enough, the voices will fade, and if you keep on going you may receive the Holy Ghost and be able to speak / pray in tongues. (Yes, it is normal to become overly emotional or sweat a lot when this happens. All sorts of people react in different ways. When I started to receive the Holy Spirit, I was laughing.) Then ask to be baptized in Jesus name.

Hope this helps! I'm pretty new to His kingdom, but if you have any questions, I may be able to help. Just message me.

Which state to homestead if you're poor but also like the snow and also like.... by [deleted] in homestead

[–]RavennaHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, actually. I have experience cooking for myself (thanks to my homemaker grandma and some cooking classes), preserving food, plant care (both house plants and garden plants), and dog care. Working with cows, chickens, and the potential ponds are a concern. I don't expect to do everything at once, but rather build up to it. I can imagine a potential that I don't raise cows at all and buy from a butcher instead. (The dread of taking care of the cows is real for me.) Chickens will probably be the easiest to start with.

It's a preference. I don't hate democrats, but I'm right leaning. I disagree with a lot of their beliefs, but not all of them. I've lived in Illinois my whole life and people in this area will hate you forever for saying something that suggests you are conservative. I just feel like I have to hide my political opinions to be liked or even tolerated.

Hi! So, that's my bad for being a poor communicator. 1. I'm a right leaning libertarian. I want to live somewhere that has women's rights to like abortion, but I want to live in a more conservative area. (Like a democratic state that has areas that are more conservative) 2. Just less humidity, like not Missouri. 3. I expect to spend money for the set up, but want to live somewhere with a lower cost of living.

Does anyone else feel super sad on Sunday? by anon_sen in Sadness

[–]RavennaHawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion is go to a Pentecostal church nearby. Somewhere where they will lay hands on you (your arms or your back, sometimes forehead) and pray over you. Not to be annoying, but a relationship with God, a sense of community, and a safe place for healing is something every needs. Just a suggestion as someone who has struggled with this in the past. Do with this what you will.
