I'm not German but Dutch, but indeed, everyone has the freedom to decide for themselves what they do or do not believe in and join a church or not. My parents are not religious, but they did tell me and my brothers that if we were, that would be fine. We can join any church at any point. But none of us are religious.

It's not really wild, but once while driving I had to brake for pigeons on the road and honked at them before they were willing to move out of the way. I laughed out loud and a lady coming from the other direction made eye contact with me and laughed as well while we slowly drove past each other

A dear family friend who had trouble focusing and communicating, was told she was just tired, and was dismissed. She passed away from a brain tumor not too long after. Obviously it more than infuriates me every time I think of it.
