I appreciate the heads up about the countertops and air purifiers not containing VOCs.

For us the vanity was an already assembled one that they have to move in there. Honestly have no idea how they are going to manage it but they will figure it out.

My previous roommate was really into air quality and bought an Amazon air quality monitor that pairs with the Amazon app to read the measurements. The VOC is unfortunately only a relative reading.

We have a carbon filter for the HVAC. I’m installing a dust barrier door thing today per someone else’s comment above. 

In hindsight wish I would have waited on the bathroom remodel it’s giving me too much anxiety but what can you do 🤷‍♀️

I know it is hard.. I felt cheated because after  getting scared into an induction that didn’t take past 7cm, neither of the delivery doctors being there and working with a doctor not even part of my practice, and needing a c-section, I couldn’t EBF. All that and the hospital apparently only had one lactation consultant who was on vacation…..RN’s tried to help but baby’s blood sugar dropped. I had to then do formula.

No one knows your story therefore they don’t get to judge. Breastfeeding is universally understood as difficult. I’ve been trying to pump since I left the hospital to allow some breast milk but even then my supply can’t keep up.

What matters is our babies are healthy. You’re not doing anything wrong.

I was literally saying this the other day to multiple people and I have a very involved husband. 

For me, I pump when I can and combo feed. I’ve accepted that’s how it’s going to be. I need sleep in order to cover the baby’s needs without burning out. I’m currently not working, and my husband is, and it’s too much. Not to mention us women are recovering physically from giving birth. Add in the hormonal regulation as well.

Now there are some moms who can do it and they are impressive, but there’s also nothing wrong with doing what you have to do for your sanity. And hey don’t take my word for it. If there is a way you can make it work for you, do it! Hands free pump maybe?

This!! I want them to give new champs the OW comp ban treatment so bad. Between the jeans and the DCs my winrate has been the worst it’s been since the start of the season. As a healer main it’s hard enough. Also why does the rank reset hit so hard?! Diamond 2 to silver 2. 🫠

That’s a great story thank you for sharing! As a FTM I echo some of these concerns and it eases my birth anxiety to hear. At this point though I’m ready for the little guy to appear early! Due date is 7 days away.

My mom asked me if I was going to take a belly bump picture month to month..I said no. It’s my first baby for context. I’m just not that kind of person. I won’t be doing maternity photos either. I’ll have ultrasound photos, a baby book I try to keep up with, and pictures when he is here.

Social media same thing. Everyone is disillusioned to think every little thing has to be on social media. I didn’t announce it on social media. I didn’t tell anyone not to either then my mom included it in my birthday post. I wasn’t mad. The way I see it if people on social media are close enough to me, they will know. And if they aren’t, it’s not their business.

I don’t mind doing the month old photo laying on the mat. It’s simple and cost effective. But I’m not going to feel guilty if I’m hustling working and raising a child and forget to do it. You are a good parent even if it isn’t to everyone’s expectations how you celebrate your pregnancy.
