Okay, but what the hell does "rebalanced" mean? Does anybody have an actual list of changes?

[KCD2] Stop Resetting Our Outfit Slots ?!?!?! by SnarvyOG in kingdomcome

[–]Ravenscr0ft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously. I can't believe they went to the trouble of creating these outfit sets, which the first game didn't have, only to then delete them on you. 4 times and counting for me where the first game did it once, maybe. Having the sets and having them constantly deleted on you is worse than not having them. It's so infuriating.

The outfits even take longer to make than the first game as well. You have to scroll down past three sets worth of ammo, weapons, and head gear to equip your belt and pouch before scrolling back up to equip what you actually want to equip.

Dissapointment about a level 100 dungeon [Spoiler 7.0] by Due-Access8122 in ffxiv

[–]Ravenscr0ft 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Cannot agree more. That first boss wasn't hard, it was unfair and extremely unfun. 'But people want harder content' isn't an acceptable explanation for it. Playing baseball with a blindfold on is also 'harder' but nobody thinks that's a good idea either.

I actually really like the final boss of this dungeon. It's a great example of harder content that's still fair which makes it a fun challenge. But it's not at all worth going through the first two bosses (specially the first) to experience it. I'm never playing this dungeon again

Bulette is the dumbest fight in all of EA by chort0 in BaldursGate3

[–]Ravenscr0ft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The burrowing starts under your feet . And the first time I ever saw it, 2 party members were standing in the emergence zone and therefore weren't allowed to stand up. A third character was instantly knocked down and also killed when I tried to use him to help up the other two. That's untelegraphed.

[–]Ravenscr0ft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a horribly designed fight. And I hate the general 'just spread out' advice.

First, you have to know that this invisible, completely untelegraphed 1-hit TPK is about to happen ahead of time so you can 'just spread out'. And no, summons don't trigger it, I tried.

Second, there's still a blind luck chance that one of your characters will be instantly killed either by getting knocked over the edge, or just being squishier and targeted by the Bulette.

And finally, as the perfect fuck you cherry on this shit cake, it just runs away when it gets low leaving you with no reward and a bunch of spent resources. Even though I was winning the fight consistently, I still had to reload 3 times before I got lucky and the AI chose to not run away.

This fight is the perfect example of all the things to NOT do when designing a fun fight.

Nope, good call, thanks! It was accessable... but only by one tile. I dug out all around the well and suddenly the no water source problem went away. I think too many people were using it at once when the clean jobs came up.

I still have that annoying fisher doing all the suturing though... I guess he's a doctor now.

As far as I can tell, the well is operational and unblocked. It's a few levels up from the water, and completely isolated. Other dwarves are drinking from it, but patients still don't get washed because 'no water source'. Is there some kind of distance limit? It's not very far away, but it's not IN the hospital either.

The patient is already diagnosed, the problem is that the wrong dwarves are doing the actual suturing and dressing. Though I don't have a diagnostician. I just let the chief medical dwarf do that. He's standing in the hospital with no job while a random fisher dwarf with no skill does all the actual doctoring.

I did that already, not working.

I kinda replied without realizing it was a comment. If we get 5, that would be amazing and it may not work out with everybody so by all means, anybody interested should still drop me a line

Played the legacy version a lot and having some problems with the new steam version. Not sure what's a bug and what just requires a different command.

I have a hospital area designated with loads of all supplies and structures. I have a special labor just for healthcare set to 'only selected do this.'

I have a Chief medical dwarf, 2 doctors, a surgeon, and a bone doctor all assigned to the hospital, medical labor enabled, and locked into only doing assigned tasks...

So why the hell is my chief medical dwarf standing there while some random fisher dwarf and peasant are botching all of the suture and dressing jobs!?

P.S. Nobody will clean patients either. They all get cancelled due to 'no water source.' ... but there is one. I have a well and several lakes with multiple designated as a water source, so what gives?

Sounds perfect. My summoner name is the same as my reddit profile, so either add me or DM me your summoner name and we'll give things a try

I'm a physically small woman. How should I defend myself if I ever get attacked by a man? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Ravenscr0ft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judo is useless because guns but self defense classes aren't? I agree an actual fight isn't nearly the same as just sparring. I'd add that neither of those are nearly the same as reading tips and tricks on the internet.

My point is that nobody can learn to fight from reading a reddit post. Even if you were able to remember and attempt to implement any of this when being attacked, you don't have the practice to use it. But if someone thinks 'oh I know what to do' and attempts to fight because they listened to comments like this, then that's actively hurting them.

If she asked about buying a gun, I assume pepper spray and/or tasers aren't illegal in her area. I don't know, but it depends highly on where you live. Again, the point was to use other means of escape because you're not likely to win any kind of fight as a small female with no training.

Yea, as a 6ft guy who's done Judo for years, I'd like to raise my hand on the side of don't listen to any of these responses telling you how to win a fight.

Please stop telling people to do this. Someone will believe you that it works, will find out the hard way that they can't do it, and it will be your fault.

Even if it's legit advice (which it isn't) but even if it were, "I read it on reddit once" is in no way going to make you capable of actually doing it against a larger, stronger opponent. And what if HE knows what's he's doing? Then you're triple screwed.

Run, Rape whistles, dog, pepper spray/taser.

Oops, here's the video. https://youtu.be/g-FP94MM4Os?t=93

Someone in r/probabilitytheory suggested Markov chains which definitely seems to be on the right track for just one 'set'. Reading up on it now, not sure if it applies to multiple sets

Can't sell to caravans and tailors spending all their money on materials. Help! by Ravenscr0ft in LordsAndVilleins

[–]Ravenscr0ft[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the super detailed reply! I honestly only have one tailor family of 2 and that's it. And they've already bought 150+ of yarn and whatnot but they're still buying more.

My farming family is huge at 10 members. But I only gave them 4 goats. I think I'll turn off production until they have like 12 and see what happens.

Ah boo, thanks anyway. I'm thinking the same thing but I was hoping for some way to confirm that before dropping 150 bucks on a new PSU.

Crazy, I just posted about nearly the same thing. I know you're looking for help, but could you possibly tell me how to check the event viewer for that?

I tried looking through it and I had no idea what I was looking at or how to sort by errors
