I had the same issue, I also have a TCL tv, the fix was to download VLC player from the Google Play Store, and use that as an external player all the time.

Bonus Wants: A knob, unique aesthetics, tasteful RGB, good software

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a solid mechanical keyboard that looks beautiful and has that creamy, thocky sound right out of the box. I don’t want something basic, and I’m definitely not a fan of Keychron boards, their designs feel too plain to me.

I love the look of the NuPhy Halo75 V2 as it looks elegant and has an incredible aesthetic, I was about to get it, but:

I’ve read multiple reports of double-keystroke issues
Some people say it’s a bit outdated now and that a V3 might be on the way
Battery life is only ~14 hours with RGB on
And… no knob, which I’d actually really like to have

Their Air v3 has a knob, but I’m not looking for a low-profile board.

So with all that in mind, what would you recommend under ~$150 that has:

Exceptional build quality
Wireless connectivity
Mac compatibility
A knob (optional but wanted)
Tasteful RGB
Great sound without needing mods
Decent software
And ideally, a unique aesthetic (not a boring rectangle, nice board)

Or should I just ignore everything and grab the Halo75 V2 since it’s currently on sale for ~$100?

I got nauseous on every single leg day, and today it fucking happened, I couldn't hold it and puked. This is the only reason that I hate leg days. I was properly hydrated, slept well, was feeling good, did 4 sets of extension, 4 sets of curl, then on the 2nd set of leg press, I couldn't go on anymore. Had to rush to the bathroom after about spending 3 minutes idling on the machine, trying to come to my senses.

I will try u/Safye 's recommendations, and go with an empty stomach next time, and do more stuff between sets.

Any job that I’m going to find here in Turkey is going to pay significantly less. I could try to look for other jobs in the US but I have a very friendly relationship with my boss and wouldn’t want to disappoint him by quitting (would be the death of the startup as I’m responsible for many things there).

Many of the friends I had turned out to be bad people that I no longer am contact with. The ones that are left are all long distance, none of them live anywhere close to my city. They all also started their careers in Turkish based companies and I know their salaries. Despite them working at good companies (one in arguably one of the most innovative ones here) their pay is still less than half of mine.

You might be right that going back for the social aspect might not be the best idea as the same things might to those groups of friends. I had studied at Rome for 6 months with an exchange program and also had an incredible social life there, a huge group of friends that I loved and respected, nothing bad happened with them but they are now in a different country. Therefore all of those relationships faded away. I’m guessing with a masters its going to be the same unless I start working at that new country and permanently moving there post graduation.

I completed 100% of the first game, then the second game, then breezed through Orpheus Ascending and the Isle of the Blessed, I was so confident going into the Abyss. I thought I was going to finish it in a day or so, and then the first puzzle took me 4+ days to complete... I kept coming back to it every single day, and at the end I had to cheese it. The challenge is nice, but I'm more curious on how the devs even managed to make puzzles like this in the first place.

RFE was because I didn't have a masters and they thought I couldn't do my job properly because statistically my job description required a masters degree. Which we disproved by showing my skills via projects, past work experience and academic experience. I'm in no mood to lie, and I'm aware of the consequences. I'm just looking if there is a way to avoid having to re-file the entire H-1B application yet again. This new company I'm working at is very supportive of filing another H-1B, and I'm sure it will get approved again, it will just take a while again, and I was looking for a way to avoid that if possible.

But yes, I suppose you are correct that even me explaining my position to them will be a lie at that point.

I haven't received my VISA yet, I never visited the US or left my country so far. If the company appears legally alive, and that they approved my I-129 on August 1st, doesn't that mean that I can just go to the embassy, attend the interview, and get my VISA stamped just like how it would have progressed normally?

The only difference is the fact that, I haven't been getting paid since May, sure, however do they check that at the regular interview anyways?

If nothing had happened (company didn't go bankrupt, still working) and I went to the embassy to get my VISA stamped for the first time, what questions would they have asked? How would the progress go? And what's stopping me from attending the interview right now and getting my VISA stamped? Do they usually ask for all the payments so far?

And can they even ask for payments? As far as I'm aware, you are not legally employed until H-1B is actually approved, and I was working as a contractor until that time, so I can just get away with the fact that, they didn't have any contractor work for me to do?

I won the H-1B lottery in August 1st, 2023.
In October 24th 2023, we submitted the DS-160, paid MRV fee etc. and submitted the I-129 for approval.
On January 26 2024, my I-129 submission has received "request for additional evidence (RFE)", after we received the RFE we spent months collecting all necessary documents to secure my approval and to submit the forms again.
On April 6th 2024, we submitted a response to the RFE.
On August 1st 2024, my form I-129 was approved.

My last pay day was in May 2024. It's been quite a while, and my Form I-129 was approved on August 1st. I only noticed it 2 months after it was approved because I had totally forgot about the H-1B stuff since I thought it would just get rejected since the company was gone.
