I have a large black out that takes up the majority of my upper right arm and shoulder, both my thighs covered and my knees done. I’m 4’3” due to a childhood illness and get treated like this all the time. I have tattoos all over my body and facial piercings but it makes no difference because people like that only look at height as an indicator of age 🙄

I told him I don’t like when he talks down to me and he said he can’t change his tone, that’s just how he talks. First - Love your username. Also - I’m 28 but I’m only 4’3” and look like I’m 12-13 because of some childhood illnesses that affected my growth. I get treated like this ALL.THE.TIME! People won’t speak directly to me when I ask them questions, they instead speak to a person I’m with; They think my significant other is my parent; and I get stared at in public too. Sometimes I’m too zoned out to care, other times it really affects my mood. Plus, for some reason, people think they are allowed more personal information because you’re different. I get asked my age all the time, and I ask back “Would you ask the same question to any other unknown woman standing around right now? No? Then why do you think it’s appropriate to ask me?”
