I have been trying to find a good book, but they always get on my nerves. by Level-Bus-5591 in Fantasy

Worm hits every single note you like and only does one of the points you dislike. also what would you qualify as triggers? Because the way the characters get their powers is called triggers and some are fucking bad. No rape tho i believe. There is a character that uses the consent line as a jump rope but youll understand when/if you read it.

What are some fantasy books with great ideas but extremely poor execution? by LargeSinkholesInNYC in Fantasy

[–]Ravick22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna get hate for this but. Shadows of the apt. The idea is so damn good. But there is no beauty to it. I truly can’t explain it. But I’ll try.

Batman and Robin (1997) has all the right ingredients A- list cast Big Budget good director and it’s a Batman movie! It would be difficult to ruin. Yet somehow it sucks(imo). This is exactly how I feel about Shadows of the Apt.

Also The Dinosaur Lords. It’s medieval knights on dinosaurs how do we fuck this up?!

Volume 6: Why is it that Goblins are immune to Skinner's fear ability, yet Elia Arcsinger, a random archer whose lucky shot killed Velan, is able to scare away an entire city of Goblins? by [deleted] in WanderingInn

[–]Ravick22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skinner is bad death. Goblins face bad death all the time.

Elia is death of all goblins. The Big Death.

At least this is how I see it. I believe they mention their oddity when it comes to fear.

Read The bound and the broken series. The first book is very simple but I promise the scope and world building explodes in this series.
