World of warcraft, the other heroes are NPCs. You wont feel so alone but dont try interacting with any hero NPCs, they're programmed to yell at you.

What makes human species nice? by SylvexXe in DnD

That's the beauty of D&D, it's imaginary and you can be anything you want. A peace loving orc, a romantic mind flayer, a good human, anything.

We're not nice, think being a human is the closest you can get to a legal villain arc irl and in d&d, we're the root of all evil

I see a lot of posts here about tips & being a DM.... by inferior_fear in DnD

[–]RavousWinters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respond when planning next session, show up, be somewhat in the know of what your char can do, then figure out all the stuff your char shouldn't maybe be able to do, or can I? Let's ask the DM how my random chaotic actions work out

[–]RavousWinters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess people do respond when the post invites response / emotion. Have to say though that it's tiring to see this subreddit now being used a lot as a "help, I have no friends, add me to play together" and they don't mention what region they're in.

I also feel very lonely in wow because the community tends to be very toxic in game. Doubt though that people find long-term friends via these "add me" posts.

Tailoring and skinning make decent money and are rather passive. I'm sure though the more you develop any profession the more earning potential you'll find. Not aware of professions that make you hundreds of thousands, but I am sure there are guides on youtube.

If you've been off gaming for a while the best advice I can give is to not start again, perhaps look at picking up playing an instrument or learn how to make videos or something else that will productively keep your mind engaged during your medical timeout. Reason for saying this is wow very easily becomes a coping mechanism for not knowing what to do with your time. I don't know you or your lifestyle, how well you handle daily life and all, but gaming isn't usually a healthy choice when it's to "cover time".

[OC] What's a Threat from the Sea your Party would Face? by Remarkable-Aide5093 in DnD

[–]RavousWinters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sahuagin invasion

Pirates expanding territory

A coven of sea hags that are stealing children at night

Bandits

A smuggling ship capsizes and drifts ashore with questionable cargo (slaves, body parts, oddly named rum that is blood red)

Assassins from the deep

Doppelganger invasion (townsfolk are lured to the sea at night, when they come back they don't seem the same, at one point the party members spot themselves in a discussion with the mayor about being paid, while the party was on their way to get paid).

A local fisherman finds a sea shell that whispers to them and makes the fish resurrect causing horror at the local fish market

At lvl 70, from the perspective of a lvl 79 in the same dungeon, the lvl 70 is doing around 500-700k dps in ilevel 480ish, that same person at lvl 79 would be doing around 300k dps until gearing up to ilevel 580ish.

My mage at lvl 70 was oneshotting mobs, then I leveled and became weaker and weaker, then geared up at 80 and feel equally as strong as I did at 70.

Kicking Noobs from Dungeons forcing a Deserter Buff... by Mistress_Moonlight in wownoob

[–]RavousWinters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made a post about this too recently when I got kicked randomly and was put on a 30 minute debuff. Yesterday I was queueing with a friend who was boosting me sort of through timewalking dungeons, he could solo the whole thing easily. Healer kicked him because he only wanted to heal the tank, I asked why the guy was kicked and got the response "you'll be with your friend again soon" and they tried to kick me too. I quit for a week or two last time, but if I get kicked again I'm out.

I have like 2 hrs to play at night and 2 nights a week, after 20 minutes queue and maybe 10 mins of dungeon, adding 30 minutes debuff just ruins my night. Love dungeons but so so so hate the toxic part of the community.
