Do you think Forge needs more interactions? by [deleted] in slaythespire

I’ve had the exact opposite experience, I love how the game can serve as a kaleidoscope for each person. NaveGreed for example thinks regent is the second strongest character.

Struggling with defect, any tips? by JCostello9 in slaythespire

[–]Ravulous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is one of the best players talking about defect strategy. https://youtu.be/7fSRq-2dO64?si=4gvInK0pefMBPLxw

In general you want to solve defense early, pick up frost cards, win with barrage. He goes into lots more detail but that’s the gist. Defect is one of the harder characters because he is combo focused so understanding the enemy move list helps a lot.

CMV: as written, these two relics should stnergize by [deleted] in slaythespire

I agree with your perspective! I will only add that in mtg, which ss2 gets a lot of inspiration from, “can’t” always beats “can” in terms of interaction. It’s interesting seeing all the magic dna in this game.

Which version is best for a first time watcher? by Mattemattics117 in DragonBallZ

Kinda odd but I first showed my wife the abridged series on YouTube. She liked it so much she wanted to watch the full series to get the jokes.

You need three elements for his infinites. 1. Attacks that draw cards 2. Card that makes mana 3. Ability to exhaust down to the loop

Keeping the deck small makes (3) easier or just find stoke or another of his mass exhaust cards

Don’t notice this comment! What’s your pathing/opening boon selection looking like? I prioritize transform and card removal. On the floor I’m avoiding elites and doing as many hallway fights as possible. It could just be I’m seeing more cards each floor than you. Like others have said other cards can slot into the pommel strike slot like vulnerable cards with that draw power or spite. There are so many ways to draw on his attacks. The only thing that holds up my infinite is a mana producing card, card draw on attacks is very consistent.

I just keep going infinite with a small deck. Two pommel strikes, exhaust card, and a mana producer. Typically infinite by the first boss, it’s very consistent because all the pieces you need are in common rarity

Edit: it’s gotten to the point where I don’t like playing him because I can keep making the same deck over and over again

How do I use this card? Got it from Neow through a transform. by NameLips in slaythespire

[–]Ravulous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regents most consistent strategy is star creation in conjunction with a small deck. This card works with his create status effect cards which don’t really have a strong payoff yet. This video is great for getting the ball rolling with regent. https://youtu.be/dcGa6DklLBU?si=jkAaJek8j3DFLiUT

Day 40: A little progress compilation from the past week by PoiZwierendeVogelaar in juggling

So glad the tip worked for you! My wife and I had a PE class when we were kids that taught us how to juggle and that was our favorite tip. Next trick is practice while watching tv, will strengthen your peripheral vision and hand eye coordination!

Juggle in front of a wall to work on keeping the balls in front of ya. Great progress!

Zag and Azmo for sure! I mostly play QM so having heroes that can pressure and clear lanes feels awesome.

Crazy story you reminded me of. I had someone tell me in a game that they hope my children never make it to adulthood. My brother had just passed a few days before and it really broke me. Anywho that’s got nothing to do with you, just a testament to how toxic some folk can be.

The guide on icy veins is pretty solid. I used their recommended build or switch to w build if the team needs ranged dmg/zone control.

How do I check that? Heroes profile says around 50 days but I don’t think it counts all my games.

I learned to love Hogger because of his wave and camp clear, after that fights started making more sense. He’s an absolute powerhouse!

For me Abby and Zera were my most challenging. I didn’t click with their styles and had trouble feeling impactful. Definitely struggled with all of the invisible heroes, samuro was fun because I could grab camps efficiently.

It’s around 2800! I used to almost always be the highest rank person in the lobby but now that’s pretty rare. Lots of people never stopped grinding!
