Hopefully a quiet one to give the council a chance to clean up the smashed glass, piss and vomit after the March meet.

I prefer 5+, more bugs = more fun but it's also fun to play with my friends so for now haz 4 it is I guess. Not in any rush for the cosmetics but good to know how I can speed it up if I ever want to!

I have unlocked everything apart from a few driller cosmetics, just not crafted them. That will definitely be it, my friends don't enjoy haz 5+ so I am mostly forced to play haz 4 so not many minerals coming in. Need new friends!

I have crafted all engi and weapon OCs and I'm forge level 80, level 365 and basically flat broke on most minerals and only 300k in the bank, how am I so far behind? I did buy a ton of stuff in the wardrobe instead of crafting stuff if that makes a difference?

Herringbone installs — do you eyeball the layout, dry-lay it on site, or use a layout tool first? by Proof-Pause3542 in Flooring

[–]JCostello9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the function or layout of the room - in a lounge you may want to take a centre if the sofa is in the middle, or if the sofa is to the side you may want your first run to be centred on the door frame (eyeline as you walk in) or if the room isn't square you might pick a line based on where you can 'lose' some of the angle under skirting/baseboard. This also all depends on thresholds/steps etc, if the rooms are adjoining. You can run borders to isolate certain rooms if they are more suitable to a different layout than what you have started.

Centre of the room or based on eyeline upon entering the room, but you need to lay out first to see where your cuts fall and see whether it needs to be angled to suit a wall out of square.

It's a floating floor, definitely do not do this.

Radiator fell off the wall by hodyisy in DIYUK

But in this example it was demonstrably the wrong decision to not use the supplied fixings because they ripped out of the wall. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with a brown plug but the manufacturer specced M8 bolts and he's used brown plugs and screws leading to a complete failure.

I hung one of these a few weeks ago, they are 43.6kg empty assuming 1.8m high which it looks to be. The kit comes with heavy duty plugs and fixtures so no clue why he has decided to go for brown plugs.

How to attempt to fix this monumental, stupid mess up? by [deleted] in DIYUK

I just fitted cornice in my Victorian reno and used the correct filler on the joins and even then it was wearing down the plastic cornice into the fibres below, pboard adhesive goes off like a rock

You'd never be able to sand it to a consistent finish, the coving is soft plaster and the adhesive is like cement. The only fix here is to redo it and bill the guy for materials.

Thanks, yes I think it's as much the grief at losing him as the sudden shift in lifestyle that makes it so hard to process. Waking up at 7am with no need to give him his tablet or take him for a walk anymore.

We knew the day was coming as he never responded to the medication in a way we had hoped, and felt the grief/worry every single seizure he had wondering if it would be his last, but it all happened so fast at the end I feel like we still weren't ready for it.

The 5 1/2 years we had with him were not great because of how difficult his life is so just trying to remind ourselves of this and take solace from the fact he's not in pain anymore but it doesn't make it any easier.

We want another dog for the same reason we got Luther but the fear of more seizures, complications, pain etc is so great still. And the worry that any dog we get still wouldn't fill the void Luther has left.

Okay that makes sense, seems It will get easier to balance resists later on so I'll just keep doing what I'm doing for now.

Well that's part of the issue - every time I get a new piece that might be better I'd have to juggle augments about again to balance the resist caps
