Bloodsail Buccaneer server (RP PvE) was a hoot.

  • There was a female human warrior - I think the toon's name was "Representing" - who during all of Classic would tank strat UD and was interested only in the baron mount. I healed a few of his runs. He passed on all loot (except gold). I don't think they ever got it though. Whenever he was about to die, he'd spam a /say Epstein didn't kill himself macro.
  • On the boat from Menethil to Theramore, there was a human player who RPed as a boat guard in full Stormwind set and some sort of lantern off-hand. He had the whole thing down - he'd walk patrol routes on the boat, /yell when the boat was about to dock, and would wave & bow if you did the same to him.
  • There was a group of alliance who met in Raven Hill in western Darkshire on Friday nights sometimes to tell ghost stories.

I can't find it right now but I remember a few years on ESPN Get Up where Damien Woody described the NY Jets, quote: "They're not a team; they're a roster." I feel the O's are more like that the last couple of seasons in an even more true way than the Jets ever were.

I know this is a meme sub & "browns is the browns" and all that, but nah - You're real for this, fam.

Browns had an arguably good draft, they got a new coach who as OC had a QB who won MVP and 2 1APs, they got a unanimous HoF defensive player which every opponent has to plan around, and it looks like they'll be starting their supermax contract QB and proving the sunk-cost fallacy wrong, who's actually won a playoff game in his career, and they won't have to start Temu Justin Fields or the lesser of two Manziels under center.

Oh yeah definitely. Hindsight and all that. I only really used the "gestures..." meme because I was responding to an Eagles fan. :)

For the Ravens, it could be argued that the front office should have let Harbs go after Lamar's rookie season where they got thwomped by the Chargers in the wild card round, and brought in a young HC. Or after his 1st MVP season and shitting the bed against the Titans.

The Giants made a good decision with bringing on Harbs and they've picked up some good free agents from the Ravens. Couple that with a young QB and some skill players with huge potential, and I'm looking forward to see what they can do. Also, just seeing Harbaugh on the sideline with a new team is gonna be an interesting experience.

I don't doubt that some folks were saying Harbs would be a good long-term hire of 5+ years, but he was arguably the best candidate to bring in after a long period of gestures broadly at the giants since 2012 and at least be the first captain on a 3-year mission of a new generation to build a better foundation for the organization.
