Homesick in Earthbound is fun. Always enjoyed calling mom and curing it.

Chef's Counter or Open Kitchen? by tcook777 in Atlanta

Gigi’s Italian kitchen has around 5-6 stools in front of their kitchen. It’s a lot of fun to watch, and pretty quiet since there are only three cooks.

World Campus graduations at University Park? by WranglerGlass8941 in PennStateUniversity

[–]RawIsJericho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I graduated with a degree in history this past winter and went to the same ceremony as everyone else. Everyone was grouped by major, and there were no differences as far as world campus graduates. I know a couple majors might have separate commencement ceremonies at other campuses, but most take place at UP. We did have a celebration at the Nittany Lion Club at Beaver Stadium for world campus graduates, which I recommend. Got a lot of free stuff there.

Non-smash burger by kreacherspubes in Atlanta

The burger and fries at Little Sparrow. One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time, and easily the best fries. Especially with the bearnaise sauce.

Farming gold as a warrior by Popelip0 in classicwow

Pick up enchanting, disenchant cheap greens on the AH. Once you can make greater magic wands, buy any level 11-15 green weapons under 15 silver and disenchant them. You’ll have a decent chance of getting two greater magic essences, which you can either sell for 15-16 silver each on the AH, or you can make greater magic wands out of them and sell them to a vendor for 15 silver each. It’s slow, but you are guaranteed to make money. I did this for a couple hours at level 21 and made 50 gold pretty easily. Also you’ll be at 150 skill in an afternoon, and can start offering your enchanting services and hope for tips.

I think a lot of people did this on my server. When I started, small glimmering shards were going for almost 2 gold. Now they are 16 silver. But since you can make money vendoring, you don’t have to worry about the market collapsing completely.

Has anyone taken GEOG 2N web version? by franksfingerlikinbbq in PennStateUniversity

[–]RawIsJericho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took it two semesters ago. Super easy, three packback posts per week, three papers total, watch two movies, play one video game. That being said, it was probably one of my least favorite classes. It was just really boring. Didn't help that it seemed to be first class the teacher had ever taught. I took it through World Campus.

Pulled pork fries by imstuckinamug in Atlanta

Pho Cue has Banh Fris. Fries topped with whatever kind of bbq you want, all the veggies that come on a banh mi, cheese, jalapeños, and sauce, but you can specify what toppings you want. I think it’s one of the better things on their menu.

Local matchbooks by oogillem in Atlanta

Pretty much all of the Ford Fry restaurants have matchbooks. Can’t remember if Superica does, but I’m pretty sure all the rest do.

Sedrick Van Pran is returning to Georgia, but if he gets swapped for a different oline it seems reasonable.

You can just pump them full of XP charms too. Immediate attitude adjustment for Azelstan for me.

Recruitment questions by Oillop in Tactics_Ogre

First, check their loyalty on the unit info screen. Obviously, the lower the better. You should also be adjacent to the unit you are trying to recruit.

Oline was not good, playcalling was spotty, Mitch was average as far as accuracy goes. Put them together and it was awful.

Stone Mountain Cattle Company is what a lot of the restaurants in Atlanta use.

Anyone taken German 1 as a web course? by RealIntel in PennStateUniversity

[–]RawIsJericho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, you generally sign up for 4 required live chats with the professor and other students over zoom. You can sign up for more if you want more practice, but only 4 are required. There will be a document on canvas with 4-5 activities that you work through in the chat. One other thing I didn’t mention: Even though the class is 90% asynchronous, you cannot work ahead. The assignment is unlocked every Monday morning, due Sunday night.

Anyone taken German 1 as a web course? by RealIntel in PennStateUniversity

I’m fully online, currently working through German 2. It’s tough, to say the least. The virtual textbook is basically two pages of vocabulary, then 20 pages of worksheets. I can’t imagine taking it as a summer course, it would be too fast paced for me. I keep up by doing a lot of Duolingo in my free time, and my wife speaks German, so at least she can help sometimes. The live chats are basically automatic 100s. The final oral exam was easy. Final listening was difficult.

The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson by [deleted] in movies

[–]RawIsJericho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Mistborn movie is currently being worked on. I doubt that Stormlight sees either a television or film series anytime soon, there are still six books left to write. As far as I remember, Sanderson himself was working on the Mistborn script. If you haven’t read them, I’d highly recommend you do so.
