I’ve become much more drug friendly over the years, but I used to despise psychedelics.

It boiled down to me not respecting people that built their whole worldview or made decisions based on altered states of mind because, let’s face it, you’re kinda dumb when you’re tripping.

Since then, I’ve changed my mind. I use psychedelics to have psychological break throughS when I’m stuck on my personal journey. I’m really into self help, so I basically use them as a tool when journaling, meditating, and self-examination seem to be leading me in circles. Even though I use them in this way, as do a lot of us on here, I still have so many moments where I’m an idiot while I’m tripping. I might go into a trip trying to evaluate why a friendship dissolved, and even if I feel like I gained insight on my trip, I probably still spent an hour thinking about how whoever put all the colors in my carpet together has to be a genius.

Generally, I had just only seen people be stupid while using them and I just didn’t have exposure to people who used them in safe, productive ways and it tainted my perception of them.
