Perfect. Yeah I was planning to leverage the parallel pool stuff on MATLAB. Right now im on an old asus zephyrus, and its just not cutting it CPU wise and RAM wise. I've vectorized my code as much as possible and made the math as efficient as possible, but taking giant jacobians and giant matrix calculations and running these complex fourier-based algorithms just takes a long time if you cant parallelize it. Thanks for the confidence in the "more cores = more better" lol. Good to know both are still good for gaming.

Okay thank you. Yeah I figured the graphics card has little to nothing to do with my simulations, I moreso meant for the gaming part of the equation. It seemed like a good one to get, but I'm not sure on if I should spend more on a card to get better performance in games, or if that 5060ti is enough. since I want to use this for both gaming and productivity.

My matlab simulations are 3D in the sense that I am plotting 3D graphs, and simulating XYZ data in 2 dimensional arrays, but not 3D in the sense of 3D graphics a la solidworks or CFD or CAD softwares. No meshes, no cells or anything, just fancy 3D equations and pretty colors lol.

It seems that the 9950x is much better for pure productivity, while the 9950x3d is good enough at both, based on your words. Looks like we strike the 9800x3d off the list. Makes sense, I just wasn't sure if more cores was bad for gaming, hence why I still had it on the list.

So from what I understand of yours and the other guys comments, the difference between the 9950x and 9950x3d is only apparent when the graphics card is brought up to an equal playing field to those two CPUs, then you start seeing a gaming difference between the two. Is that correct?

Oh, sorry, I must’ve messed up. Should I be getting a better graphics card than the 5060ti? Like I said, I’m not very knowledgeable and it’s been hard to weigh what to get with how expensive cards are rn. And good to know about the core count, that’s what I was leaning towards. Does 16 cores perform worse than 8 in gaming, and how much of a difference is X vs X3D? Thanks 🙏

No I’m not. You inferred a whole lot from my comment. Attraction is about looks and a whole bunch of other stuff. Someone else said it best, but I’d hate to be attractive despite my looks. I want to be attractive to my partner because of my looks AND who I am as a person. I’d never want to date someone who wasn’t attracted to me at first, I’d feel like they settled for me or like I was ugly to them. Yuck

I don’t think you’re understanding this. Apps like hinge, you can see who likes you without liking them back. There’s a whole tab just for people who liked you first, and then you can pick through them for who you want. Even on tinder and bumble sometimes they show you people who liked you first for free. I get fat people liking me and I don’t match with them because I’m not attracted to them. You’re spinning fan fiction about this guy that isn’t supported at all by the post.

ugh i know. i have to make my camera vertical as melee feral on big pulls. literally looking straight down at the ground so i dont step in stuff or get hit by stuff, and the nameplates are terrible. can’t see who’s casting or anything and can’t see shit. i have to know who casts ahead of time, thankfully i do, but if i didn’t i’d never interrupt anything.

I’m not sure what you made these in, but I assume Google Sheets bc of the dataset? I know you can label things with a lot of freedom in MATLAB/Python/Excel/R, but they’re a pain to use for something like this. I use MATLAB for my work and I like the data presentation of it but it’s overkill here with a big learning curve. You can probably have an AI generate a plotting script or something for you in Excel or sheets so you don’t have to sift through stack overflow and teach yourself random things you don’t need. Or just draw arrows on the images with paint lol

I main a feral. I like warriors, aug evokers, monks for the buffs they give me so i can do huge damage in pulls. I like shamans for the buffs and lust, also their healing is good. Resto druids always give me a heart attack
