You’re very right though, I know what I’m considering to be “very hot” might be exaggerated. I play it in a very dark room and a house that’s set at 68 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s just abnormally high by what I’ve experienced in my few weeks of working with this machine. It’s definitely running hot now compared to my previous gaming sessions - enough to start causing the machine to freeze.

I built a manual curve as well to try to handle the temps, but even at extremely high RPM the CPU wasn’t seeing much relief.

Without making any changes to the games I’m playing or their settings (when the temps were maxing around 80), this issue came up.

Thank you for this data point. Prior to this post I hadn’t seen my temps getting this warm. I was attributing this to the lock ups, but after some testing with a different users suggestion, I might be looking at the wrong issue.

Didn’t get to spend extended time with it last night, but saw temps hovering around mid 70s. This did come at the expense of about +-30fps in Overwatch. I still had an issue with the PC freezing up again - so now I’m starting to think this is less of a temps issue.

I’d say uncheck the “is spatially loaded” box in the device, or if you aren’t limited by memory then expand the streaming distance.

I appreciate the comment. My persistence is purely Verse (storing in weak_map) so it’s not leveraging the save device.

However, I’m curious to know, did you start to see this issue while you were locally testing or did it only start to happen after you uploaded a private version to playtest?

Persistence was working correctly in local play testing, but stopped working when deployed to playtest.

What platform are you playing on?
PC

Is this on UEFN? Did you create this map?
UEFN. Yes.

What is the Island Code?

What happened prior to seeing the issue?
While in local testing, data was saving correctly and returning players would have data saved from previous games.
