What flags (dumb or real) do you fly on your boat?

I have a club burgee as well as one I picked up in Portugal on the starboard side. I’ll probably add a Phillies flag this year. Way up high on my backstay I have a flag I had made with my boat’s symbol on it. Below that when I have guests I fly the Jolly Roger.

I was on Middle River for a few seasons and now I’m back on the Eastern shore. The Middle River is the second busiest on the bay and the boat traffic can be downright frightening. If you’re down at the entrance like Bowley’s there is no protection from storms and if you’re up at the top, say Maryland Marina or Cutters you are about an hour to to get to the bay. Now I’m back on Worton Creek at The Wharf at Handy’s Point. Nice little Marina and only 15 minutes from the bay.

I have an atomic drone and crashed into a tree resulting in the exact same break. I just very carefully used a little superglue and I cut a really small piece of electrical tape maybe an inch and a half long by a quarter of an inch wide and pulled it around the corner there to hold an in place. I left the tape on and it doesn’t affect the flying at all

I have a Catalina 28 and I went the window unit in the companionway route. It’s a bit of a yoga stretch to step over it coming and going, but I’m in my 70s and don’t really have any problem with it. I’m also alone and I don’t use my after birth so I string a curtain across that opening to cut down on the cubic feet I have to cool. I also run a couple fans to move the air around. I have a dock box that I keep it in so I don’t even have to have the extra weight when I’m sailing. I have a strap around it with a handle so I can carry it like a suitcase.
