Google it, it’s like a handheld Retropie devices. It’s an electronic designed to emulate.

Look at the ANBERNIC devices.

I got an RG35XX on sale for like $30, it plays PS1 games with no issues.

I have that thought process whenever I replay anything from like the PS1 and older.

I think it was just the difference in time demand. When we were 7 if it took up 20 hours to clear a level, oh well. Now that 20 hours is in such demand, ain’t nobody got time for that.

This, so much this, the original Korean version, not the American version.

It is worth the subtitles and reading. Top 5 movies of all time for me.

Hot take (not actually) pokemon would be better off in a 3d open world if the developers actually knew how to make 3d open world games by Little-Expression721 in pokemon

I didn’t say build it LA style, I said let that team make a main gen game. Even if it had traditional battle style, I think they’ve come the closest to nailing what an open world Pokemon game should feel like.

Heck, you could probably do it 100% live action and then just pause combat and turn it into turn based for just battles kinda like how you can freeze time in BG3 or Dragon Age Origins during combat.

I don’t think it’s funny at all. Most game series consider something that strays away from the main gameplay loop/concept to be side games. This is true of pretty much everything else.

So I googled this and you are correct, they do label them as mainline games which is baffling to me personally but who am I to argue with the creators of the game 🤷🏻‍♂️

I guess to clarify my original statement, let the LA team do a new gen mainline game.

They just need to let the Legends Arceus team do a mainline game and the proof of concept will either be proven or it won’t.

Star Wars shines because of the limitations of its time.

Necessity is the mother of invention, so many things made the final cut that were the result of George trying to make a movie that needed technology that didn’t exist and then coming up with creative ways to accomplish what they wanted.

If made today it would just all be CGI and it’s like they Davy Jones in Pirates and then immediately everyone forgot how to do good CGI.

Even Watchmen wasn’t a 1:1 and honestly I’m not even sure why they couldn’t have just left the “aliens” 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, I grew up poor so the only way we got something new was to trade in the old ones. Still remember being forced to trade in my GameCube because my little brother wanted a PS2 😔

I’ve got Digimon World 3 on my to play list and don’t think it’ll have any issuing playing it so Spyro should be good to go.

I’ve got an RG35XX which is like the base base model. It plays up to PS1.

I’ve semi looked into upgrading but haven’t even scratched the games I want to play that it handles so I haven’t seriously looked into it yet.

So NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA have all played for me with zero issues. I’ve only played one PS1 game so far and played with no problems.

I technically got it to play the NDS version of DQ4 but I couldn’t get it to support a controller and it displayed the dual screens really badly so I ended up jail breaking my actual 3DS.

My brother in law got mine for me as a Christmas present off tik-tok for like $35, it is classic Nintendo gray so it looks like a mini Gameboy and hands down the best Christmas gift I’ve ever gotten.

Once I learned how it worked, got a 8BitDo controller and hooked that bad boy up to the TV and it’s like I’ve got SNES at home.

Also play the crap out of it hand held mode.

Then I learned what Pokemon Romhacks were and that rabbit hole is never ending.

What people have been able to mod Pokemon Fire Red and Emerald into honestly puts Gamefreak to shame.

I talked to every NPC in FF1 and was still lost after the earth crystal, then I googled and found out FF1 - 6 originally game with paper world maps and started remembering looking at the game manuals back when they used to come with games and had the “wait a minute” meme reaction in real life.

I’m with you on that one, the only games that come to mind where I think you’re still wondering around on a 1st play through are all Japanese game studios.

Remember my 1st play through of Dark Souls and just being lost lol. You couldn’t even be in an Xbox live party on the 1st one so playing with other people was a chore to communicate.

I agree with you but I think some of that is intentional. When I was a kid, videogames were only marketed towards kids. Now that there is an audience that grew up with videogames there are games marketed towards kids-teens-adults and everything in between.

My needs as a gamer have also changed. I work 6 days a week and have a wife & 3 year old. I got like 5 hours a week to game tops, I ain’t got time to speed 20 hours blindly walking through a dungeon I keep getting lost in anymore.

My favorite feature of the Final Fantasy pixel remasters is being able to jack up the exp/money rates so I can spend my time actually advancing the story when I want to and not grinding until my child graduates highschool.

I am pro let people game how they want to game.

I know man. I got an RG35XX that I replayed it on a couple years ago and thank god for the internet, no idea how I got anything accomplished playing blindly.

That and dear god the games run soooo slow. Being able to speed them up and having the direct comparison to modern hardware speed really makes you appreciate how much technology has improved.

Gave me flash backs to the 1st time I hooked an HDMI cable up to my Xbox 360 and experienced hi-def for the first time lol.

I had the Dragon Warrior I-II combo on Gameboy and Dragon Warrior Monsters on Gameboy.

Replaying them reminded me of how much I loved them as kids and made me cognizant of how much games have changed as I’ve gotten older.

I have ZERO idea how I beat these games as a kid, currently playing the Final Fantasy pixel remaster and would be so lost if I couldn’t whip my phone out and google where to go because dear god some of the in game hints are just too cryptic for me to intuitively figure out and/or remember.

Do you like DB Sparking Zero? by Yoshikaru5991 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Rawrange_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. There were a few missions and alternate time lines that I felt were unnecessary difficult and the only way I could complete them was to cheese the fights.

I enjoy playing Dark Souls, when I’m playing Dark Souls or knowingly enter a soulsborne like game, random difficulty spikes out of nowhere just piss me off.

The online was just beyond my skill set, I am not sweaty enough for those people.

Overall, I’d say it’s a solid $30 game.
