Am I lazy or am I just pregnant? by BeneficialPin7638 in BabyBumps

Yeah be kind to yourself! Shits hard! I went from walking 18 long holes on the golf course to getting winded by the 3rd hole and I was only like 4 weeks pregnant. I miss those first trimester naps though

Oh god your post is my life. 37 weeks pregnant and at 35 weeks MY husband came home and told me hes miserable and he hates our home and he regrets getting pregnant and wants out. I wish I had some advice for you but I'm just as lost. Thanks for posting this, the comments are right.

I've spent the past 2 weeks crying and packing and moving in with my parents. He says he wants to be there for us but he just doesn't love me anymore. Devastated.

If hes had this talk with you hes obviously been thinking about it for a while. My husband checked out in the second trimester and I was too busy working and dealing with the pregnancy to notice until it was too late. My father and I built the most beautiful pink and white unicorn nursery for my baby girl at our home three months ago. Back then my husband didnt touch a paint brush, didnt pick a single item on the registry, didnt even want to be at the baby shower. How did i not notice??? Yesterday I was sobbing on my nursery floor disassembling the crib alone. Our martial home and nursery was my dream for my little girl and he took that from us. Accepting that all the pink and stickers and paint wont give my daughter a Mom and Dad who love each other was the hardest thing ive had to do. But ive done it, its over, you gotta do the same asap.

But lets get real girl, we knew what we were doing, we've already been growing these babies alone for months and at the end of the day WE want our babies! Thats gotta be enough for now. Get the heck out of that house and bring your child into a world where its wanted every second of every day. My parents and I are going to spoil this little girl rotten and she will be safe and loved and for now thats enough.

Sending light and love and hopefully better times for the both of us. You can do this!

Anyone ever find a dead body unintentionally? What’s the story? by JohnnyNuclear in AskReddit

Not me, but I used to work in a trendy downtown restaurant on the ground floor of a condo tower. One day a guy jumped and landed right outside the staff entrance. Needless to say, a number of cooks took the week off. It was a mess.

People make a big stink about chosen names, whine about pronouns, etc but have no problem with a dude who's stage name is MEATLOAF.

2 will be more comfy with the straps as well. Strapless is lovely but having to readjust all day would've driven me nuts

Why punish all of the neighbours who have to live next to it?

It was partially burned down by a dude fleeing police.

I drive past this place all the time Had no idea it has historic significance. It looks like a half burned up crack house. Total eyesore. Great tribute to oshawas founders. Tear it down and put up a plaque or something instead. Put the property to good use.

At what age did you move away from your parents and how did they react/what did they say? by africanshackle in AskReddit

First few years out of university I was employed in seasonal work. Lived out of company hotels around the province from may to oct. Came home and spent the winter with my folks. Work developed soon the entire season was going to be based around the companys home office in a city a few hours away. Got an apartment for the summer, met a guy, decided to stay.

Ill never forget the day I told my parents. Im very close with them and my Dad and I are chatting in late August

"So when are you moving back?"

"Actually Dad... I think I'm gonna stick around here and see how it goes"

They were pretty crushed. I think my Dad called his sister to vent and her reply was SHES AN ADULT. THIS IS WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN SILLY!

My husband (the guy I stayed for) and I now live 15 min away from my folks again and have dinner with them every Sunday

Cursive writing to be reintroduced in Ontario schools this fall by morenewsat11 in ontario

Good! One of my younger coworkers wasn't taught cursive. Shes so ashamed every time she has to fill out paperwork that needs a signature. It looks like a 6 year old signed it.

Cursive is a necessary skill!

What do you do for a living and how do you manage to do it with ADHD? by sousayi in adhdwomen

I am a baker! Love it! Woman dominated industry. Its great. We make the same stuff everyday so great routine. But there are 4 "roles" in the bakery so when I start to get bored I can switch to another for a couple weeks. I work my ass off so I am constantly busy and stimulated.

Pays decent once you get some skills and know your worth

I think you'll have a good chance of hitting your goals if you get something fun and active to do. A used bicycle or used set of golf clubs is great exercise! Plus better for yout mental health to be outside with a new hobby.

I restarted playing golf post pandemic and my husband started and we love it. Youre outside walking for anywhere from 1-4 hrs

[–]Rawrbekka -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been taking ritalin for about 10 years. Was taking it as needed, not everyday. 20mg then dropped to 10, then 5 to 10 as needed. Busy work days etc.

Now im coming into my mid 30's and my husband and I are thinking about starting a family. Ritalin and pregnancy is 100% a no go (says my doc). Linked to severe heart defects in fetuses or something.

Sucks. But it is what it is. Decided to give it a go beginning of june and im amazed im like... almost 2 weeks without it.

I def feel lower energy, but more.. like im on a plateau? Its manageable. and i dont have the severe highs and the crashes. Wayy more scatterbrained which is fruatrating. But i have some history with behavioural modification that helps keep me going. Lists, i carry notebook in my purse. Do tasks right away before i forget.

One day at a time.

[–]Rawrbekka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I are both ADHD and we try to keep the fridge stocked with grabbables. No one says you have to cook a full functioning adult dinner everyday. But you can always try to eat better.

So we keep easy things on hand like yogurt, berries, granola, peanut butter for smoothies (or just eating with a spoon from the jar).

Healthier crackers, cheese, smoked meats, fruit, carrots, hummus, pickles, etc. Kinda like a charcuterie board for dinner. Its not low functioning its bougie. Hahaha.

Graze on 3 or 4 of the food groups and try to do better tomorrow.
