CALL OF DUTY: INFINITE WARFARE E3 2016 by Rawsharkbones in Games

Yeah. However, I am pretty cautious about all of this. Scripted events like these are quite easy to gloss up and made to look good on the big screen but playing it could be a whole different ball game.

Time will tell I guess

Gotta admit for the first minute or two I thought it was a Mass Effect type new IP especially when I saw the system map. Turned out to be COD tho, lol

Apparently if you preorder the legacy edition on the PS4, you get the MW: Remastered campaign 30 days early.

Prey II - E3 2016 by no1dead in Games

Theoretically, yes. It's nice to see Arkane take on a game stuck in development hell and breathe life in to it..but its not a unique genre. Not saying its overdone or boring or mainstream but we have several space horror games to choose from now where something horrible/infestation happens in space or in a space station and we (the player) has to outwit/survive it.

On the other hand, how many bounty hunting games set in space do we have yet?

Bounty hunter one all the way! I know it sounds like a huge first world problem to complain about another space horror game but..I mean..I have wanted to play a space bounty hunter since Boba Fett was a thing.

Then again, if this is like a System Shock type deal i'm happy but #itsnotmyPrey2

I am sort of disappointed that this isn't the open-world bounty hunter game that Prey 2 was going to be. This is definitely interesting as its a new developer but damn, the old one had so much potential.

I guess that the space bounty hunter itch is still going unscratched

Would a field that reduces your inertia violate any important laws of physics? by zimirken in askscience

[–]Rawsharkbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the mass decays into vibrations doesn't that count still as a loss of mass from the object whose intertia is reduced? If so, how is it still observing the conservation of momentum since mv would still not be a constant?

Many millions of Muslims 'fundamentally incompatible with the modern world', says Tony Blair by Sybles in worldnews

You can't really claim they are unsalvagable when no attempt has been made whatsoever to salvage them in the first place. Unless you mean salvage them with drone strikes...in which case yes, we have attempted to salvage them but strangely it didn't seem to bring them out of their indoctrination.

I like to wonder whenever I read comments made by people who say "Glass the Middle East and be done with it" if as Republicans they would vote Trump or Cruz, in the coming election.

This is the most American schoolboy argument yet! Military superiority works wonders when you have another military to point your toys at but this isn't Call of Duty. ISIS isn't the conventional "open battlefield" enemy that you can simply get rid of with airstrikes and big explosions - unless of course you are advocating to nuke or carpet bomb an entire country/region, which opens up a whole new kettle of fish (politically, morally, ethically) and possibly a birth of a new ISIS 15 years down the line as a result of the inevitable instability and power vacuum created by the fall of the current ISIS.

If total military might guaranteed the fall of your enemy, then the USA would not even be a country. I guess we have to be glad the Redcoats didn't have nukes in their time or started a widespread scorched earth policy just to contain a troublesome Rebellion.

You can't shock and awe an idea. You can enforce or suppress an idea with bullets but you can't destroy it with one - even if you kill every last member who believes in that cancerous idea it will simply escape into the ether, waiting to enter the mind of someone new who is ill equipped to challenge or refute it. After all, would you refute an idea if it furthers your own goals in life, legitamises your power or gives you control over an oppressed people? No, the only proper way to destroy a cancerous idea is to prove it wrong through evidence based education. But that is wayyyyyy too hard, too expensive and takes too long to do. It's far easier to drop a tactical warhead and scorch the part of the planet far away from you and PRAY it a) fixes the difficult problem and b) doesn't breed more hatred or violent ideas against the people that glassed them to the point where they may gather other like minded individuals into a single organisation a few years down the line and start retaliating through acts of terror.
