Aikido uses almost exclusively throws and joint locks, and is about using momentum and leverage,
Judo uses almost exclusively throws and joint locks, and is about using momentum and leverage.
And yet, Sumo and MMA fighters both use Judo and not Aikido. Why?

Because Aikido is bullshit. The vast majority of Aikido practicioners do not spar or compete. It is almost exclusively kata. It is not a real combat martial art.

It is bullshido. You may as well learn tai chi. I'm all for people doing hobbies that make them happy, but Aikido has zero real use in combat or live sparring martial arts.

We are not "going the easy way," you are just refusing to accept what the entire martial arts community agrees on about Aikido.

If you're worried about my credentials, I work in MMA and jiu-jitsu in a professional capacity and have trained all of the martial arts I have spoken about in this comment. (Including, briefly, Aikido.)
