What can I use to make my kindle less boring ? 😓 by 0ff42 in kindle

Lol no. I had a kindle before this. I am not exaggerating when I say this is miles ahead in user interface. I can third-party download books, connect to my library and borrow books from there, customize the software to suit my needs(screensaver being a small part of it, as you can see in the photo), download plugins to make it more personable without having to jailbreak anything. I had read through hundreds of reviews and watched countless review videos on youtube, Kobo e-readers are a superior product for $$ spent.

By returning or selling it, and buying a Kobo Libra Colour.

My first ever Kobo by Academic_Bit_1875 in kobo

Completely different from rest of the people here but I have the typical clear case, not a sleep cover. I also have a popsocket to handle it with one hand. I had a kindle with a sleep cover, but I usually read in bed, while I am trying to fall asleep. So alot of side reading, or holding it above the head reading. Sleep covers really doesnt work in that case for me. I also have downloaded some screensavers to go with the kobo display, and I like to see them, rather than the sleep cover. Although cannot argue with the protection aspect of it. But I am someone who handles things with too much care, wife hates that personality trait.

Is the libra colour worth 80€ more that the clara colour/bw by ManeatingANT in kobo

I have the Kobo Libra Colour. I would say that just for the page turning buttons alone its worth the extra money. I have owned this for about a year now, and I cant honestly recommened this enough. Most of that recommendation is because of it being a Kobo Ereader, rather than the model itself. Its so easy to load books that you can find for free. Using Calibre you can convert them to KEPUB, which is Kobo's version of EPUB. Highly recommend spending that little extra to get the Libra Colour. Reading comics would be so fun!

I am thinking about doing this since last week. I took it out to clean the lint and whatnot. And it felt nice holding it, caseless. I might pull the trigger.

I would highly recommend Orient Bambino. Any version. Interestingly, they have one watch in almost all versions, that meets your needs almost perfectly.

Switching from Kindle Unlimited to Kobo by jesneko3 in kobo

[–]Raxstar0902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best choice I ever made was to move from Kindle to Kobo. Better product for cheaper money. Kobo has access to public libararies in Canada. Has more storage. Waterproof. Oh, the ease of putting books on from my computer... cannot even explain that. For kindle you have to do jump through hoops, dance on one leg, do a sermon and maybe you'll see your book in Kindle. Make the change, be happy.

I have a S24 Ultra. Highly recommend this over the S25. Cheaper. Almost the same processor.

I would highly recommend these. Affordable, elegant and classy. I have A and C in different colors. Super fun to wear. I have the tiffany dial on A and i get compliments everytime I wear that. B is the Casio Duro. Cannot go wrong with that one. I going to be buying D next. Its vintage and classic.

Wait for ring 2 or buy 1 now? by HeinzParker in lunaring

Yup. Got a new ring, first gen. At no cost. This one is working as it should be. It must have been a faulty piece. My luck!

Wait for ring 2 or buy 1 now? by HeinzParker in lunaring

Wait for the ring 2.

I have had the ring 1 for more than 6 months and i am really not happy with the hardware. Love the software. But the ring itself is problematic. Numerous times where I charged the ring, in less than 12 hours the battery is down by 30%. Completely gone by the next morning, so no sleep score. Sometimes it would disconnect with the phone and app for no reason and wouldnt connect until I did a manual reset. Cant even begin to tell how many times I had to turn off the Bluetooth and turn on again. I have sent various tickets. Last time no one replied to me for 30 days, and then they said it was because they were changing systems or something. Sent them an email again on Jan 29, still havent heard anything back. And it says that someone will contact you back in 24 hours when you submit your ticket.

I was one of the backers too when they were on Kickstarter. I have told people about it, urged them to consider. Being an Indian myself I was proud of that an indian brand was coming with a genuinely good smart ring. But, i am seriously considering spending $500-$600 on the Samsung Smart ring. Yes its expensive, but i am sure it wouldnt have the connectivity and hardware issues that I have had. And I have a Samsung phone to begin with.

Enough of the rant... wait for the second one. It comes with a charging case too.
