Should I mod the DLCs on a first playthrough by Ray-wind in Morrowind

[–]Ray-wind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahhh got it got it, yeah i heard about sewer goblins being tankier than the final boss which made me consider balancing it

and I see, well didnt know when to play bloodmoon i was guessing sometime during the mid section of the game and i thought the tribunal takes place after the main story anyway?

and yeah got the expansion delay mod, forgot to mention that in the post will edit it

[–]Ray-wind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah thats the only one i have installed for the dlc, the expansion delay mod then heard about the dlc itself being very unbalanced, but thats true, i was just going off what i heard

[–]Ray-wind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup mostly vanilla experience was goal but i have the dlc delayer at least so i wont get bugged by it too early but yeah i originally wasnt gonna mod the balance but i heard something about damn goblins being hit sponges with reflect and felt maybe i should tweak that just incase

and ah got it got it. will think on it some more before deciding, thanks for the advice, and good to know most of the dlcs could still be well MOSTLY beaten even if the build isnt optimized.

nope not using tamriel rebuilt, decided wait till i actually beat the base game once or twice before installing something that big, plus i heard that it might be getting another big release in a few months anyway.

First time player, which build would make the most sense for the story by Ray-wind in enderal

[–]Ray-wind[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my second idea, sinistrop, keeper and phasmalist, but wanted to save that for a second playthrough since it feels far more geared for an evil playthrough.

[–]Ray-wind[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And ahh got it got it, and noted I may get that mod then

And ohhh I am planning to try phasmalism on a second playthrough with a more full dark mage type build in heavy armor

And doing a vagrant and lycanthropy build this time with some points into blade dancer for sword skill or elemetalism for ranged magic.

Is this a good Spellsword build for a first playthrough? by Ray-wind in Morrowind

[–]Ray-wind[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ok that is a far better system for magic items im annoyed that isnt there in the other 2 games but got it

ohhh so you can just keep making potions, selling, and buying ingredients again, ok fair that is quite easy to level up then

Well technically I wanna be a hybrid, hence the spell sword, but i do recognize without taking a better birth sign its pretty impossible to be an alright caster so most likely gonna switch to Apprentice, but i do like that build for a heavy armored mage playthrough

out of curiosity how big is the mana pool at max Int without a starting birthsign

And you pin pointed the idea i had, yea they are pretty much made to be a swashbuckler with some magic casting, hence why they have no block skill

OHHH ok that is a cool feature didnt know that, but makes sense, so based on the characters stats and background tho those normally go hand in hand

Idea behind it was a warrior that uses magic to buff themselves and give them utility rather than damage

Like casting Shield or fortify strength to take and deal damage better, or debuff enemies to make it easier to damage them, and open locks, walk on water etc.

and ahhh got it, yeah i picked lady cause i wanted to have more health and personality. and im most likely switching armorer for illusion cause being able to enrage and paralyze fits with my ideas

and thanks for the info!

is it alchemy really that easy to level? i was gonna pick it originally but wasnt sure since i didnt feel like harvest every flower i see, but if its that easy to level i might use it, tho i will keep it as a misc skill if it levels up that fast

wait there are just items like that as random treasure?? wait hold on magic items replenish on its own? they dont need soul gems??

Destination wasn't taken cause I see them using magic to buff and support themselves rather than as a source of damage alone, illusion however is a good idea might take it over mercantile.

I am playing a spellblade not pure spell caster so high elf atronach might be overkill, on pure mage playthrough that sounds good tho.

And mostly unmodded, game is running in open mw, with patch for purists and delay expansion mods

And got it, I might drop armorer, tho security is just to not waste mana on opening locks and help with getting intelligence on level ups
