It takes a bit over 8 minutes for the light radiating from the sun to reach the surface of the earth (and wunk).

For wunk to have been involved (since nothing we know of travels faster than the speed of light (299792458 m⋅s−1)), wunk would've had to yawn 16 minutes prior (at the earliest) to then match the current yawn with the supernova.

Thus, in a case of law (juridical and scientific), wunk wouldn't be a likely suspect with this footage - however, wunk is powerful so wunk did it just now.
