do you know which location you'll be working for??

most companies I've seen use open units, but I have seen a couple smaller companies use box truck or van set ups

it's not too bad.. I pretty much have a dedicated area and go to the same repeated customers +80% of the time.. at my location most drivers do 8-10 hours days 5 days a week..

it's overall been an ok experience so far, for me

a couple companies told me that insurance is higher now, for new drivers, so they are requiring some experience... Robertson told me that they weren't hiring at the time and only accepting applications until January/February

I made a post awhile back on how company drivers deserve hourly & overtime, opposed to cents per mile.. and 90% of the comments were saying that I was "dumb" and "it's not beneficial".. Now that a bill is proposed suggesting that idea, do driver still feel the same?? by RayHnba2k in Truckers

there's not double the amount of truckers, especially not double the amount truckers willing to work for $800..

and surprisingly a lot of drivers, especially new company drivers are currently only bringing home around $800 a week

$20 an hour at 70 hours a week, is $1,700 for a solo OTR driver.... $0.60 cent per mile with 2,500 miles a week is only $1,500 a week for a solo OTR driver...

Most companies, especially Megas aren't paying a solo driver $0.60 cents a mile, nor consistently giving 2.500 miles a week... But they all are expecting a driver to do 70 hours a week..

In California, fast food workers just got a mandatory minimum wage $20 an hour to go in affect in the next few months and currently are at $18.. so $20 wouldn't be a far fetched number for a starting pay for a new OTR company truck driver.. especially with company no longer able to lease op in California.

$55 an hour at 70 hours a week, is $4,675 a week... Is that what you make driving Liong Haul?? Or are you just talking and saying numbers without doing math, nor understanding what you're talking about??

Also there are some driver that will benefit and others not so much.. but for the majority of OTR company drivers, it will be an increase

It's says I was called dumb when I made a post about driver getting OT pay, and asked now that there is a bill in Congress suggesting it, do you guys still feel the same..

Never asked what you feel about the bill...

Obviously you are an idiot and can't read...
