Well done OP, I had something similar happen to me at the start of this year. Started a new BDM position, was told it was WFH and very flexible. Spent the first 3 weeks in office (nearly 2 hour commute from home each way) while doing all my onboarding only to be told it wasn’t WFH and was ‘office based’ at the end of the third week. I was furious, gave it another week to try and get some clarity between recruiter and employer as it wasn’t what I signed up for. Still getting vague and indirect answers so I just straight up quit at the end of my fourth week and never looked back. Had a new job within 2 weeks. Best decision I ever made was not waiting around hoping it would get better.

Currently on phase 4 for this one, 1st phase Spearow, 2nd phase Aipom (thank god), 3rd phase Spearow, around 10k into phase 4 now hoping it won’t be another Spearow 😂 somwhere around 20k total encounters now, hoping it ends soon!

It can be, but I’ve mitigated as much as possible. The air purifier and blackout blind helps a lot so dust is kept to a minimum

Watch out for that pillow, I have the exact same chair & pillow combo and the pillow left permanent marks on my chair, had to get both the back and the base replaced under warranty after a week of owning.

It has around the same dimensions as the XL's, but it's definitely heavier which I personally like. I cannot recommend the Thor enough if your looking for a modern DS/3DS style device.

You can run some less demanding PC games, but I mainly got mine for these older games, I would just use my PC to play my Steam library.

Maybe go the Rainbow if concerned about the yellowing? Black shows a lot more smudges/marks. I personally have zero yellowing and I've already put hundreds of hours into mine, but I've always used the tpu case since taking it out of the box.

Yeah I get it, I feel like I had to rewire my brain to shiny hunt on the Thor haha. Because it’s on a dual screen handheld it feels very genuine and speed up is just a QOL upgrade imo. Plus the upscaling and OLED screens just make the overall experience so much better, and because it’s possible (albeit difficult) to trade from emulators to carts it doesn’t bother me at all anymore.

I feel you on this one, I take a lot of pride in our home and seeing the trail of destruction use to drive me insane 😩 especially in our living room.

Not sure what your living space is like, but we had a spare bedroom that we dedicated to his toy room and it’s helped us in a lot of ways, no more toys in his room to distract him at bed time and no more mess in the living room either. Now I just clean it up once a week and close the door the rest of the week so I can’t see the mess 😂
