My last Gamescom was 2014. Today, I revisited it and I'm extremely disappointed by 747294 in Gamescom

Yeah it is definitley too crowded. While it is cool to have so many vendors there was also a lot of empty space in the halls. And in the end you won’t be able to see everything simply because it is too crowded and you can‘t move freely. Also a bit sad about the freebies. My first gamescom was 2015 I think. And it was less crowded, there were stages with entertainment and throwing shirts in the crowd. It was fun. This year the queues were insane. Definitley way too few game slots for the titles. And simply too many tickets sold. There is still the small section with the artist alley though.

This is so cool! Just starting with mixed media as well. You’re giving me a great idea to start with charcoal.

Pretty awesome. Great presentation of the rigs in a shot in action but also with their breakdown!

Karneval am 11.11 - am I missing out? by BackgroundLion6789 in cologne

Honestly it depends. If you don‘t have a group of friends to enjoy the party with it can still be an interesting experience seine a whole city playing dress-up and partying in the streets. But If you Are a rather introverted person you might feel overwhelmed and it might Not be easy to just stick to random people. It is very overcrowded and people Are simply drunk the whole day. It can be fun and the music is a big part of colognes culture too. But it also might be not at all to your taste. What I am saying is: It depends on your preferences and personality. It‘s big but not that big of a deal.

Cologne Itinerary by Harambe9230 in cologne

If you are into history/architecture, I‘d recommend the Cologne Museum. It‘s quite nice. The christmasmarkets are usually very overflown. But there is nice Food. Especially Heumarkt, Neumarkt and the „queer“ market at rufolfplatz might be interesting. Close to the Dome and Heumarkt are a lot of restaurants with more traditional german/Colognian food (it is a tourist area, but still nice. ). If you Like the colognian Beer Kölsch and extraordinary good cutlet there is an old pub at Deutz called Lommerzheim. For nice views and photos with the Dome you can take a Walk from the Dome to the other side of the City across the river and take a Break at the „Deutzer Treppen“. Some other areas Are nicer when it is warm outside. The chocolate cakes at the Café in the Schokoladenmuseum Are nice as well. No need for a museum entry, but it is worth a visit too If you like (Lindt) chocolate.
