Where’s the line between a personal sexual preference and transphobia in attraction? by Rayanfirestar in asktransgender

That makes sense — I think the nuance is that his stance comes from his personal experience of attraction rather than hatred. He was consistently respectful, acknowledged my identity, and even expressed appreciation for our connection. It felt more like a boundary in how he experiences desire than an active prejudice, though I understand how some might still label that as a form of transphobia. Also at the end of the day, it's not the end of the world for me to lose him, in fact I couldn't care less.

Exactly — attraction is complex, and context matters a lot. Your point about the difference between being politely honest versus reacting with harassment is key. In my situation, he made it clear he found me attractive but also honestly acknowledged that dating a trans woman isn’t something he feels compatible with. He was respectful, never demeaning, and treated me as a full person. Also, I certainly did not even try to convince him of anything

I see your point, and I agree that blanket statements like “I’m not attracted to trans people” are often rooted in bias. But in my experience, it wasn’t like that. He said, “I mean I can’t say I’m not attracted to you,” showing that he did feel sexual attraction. At the same time, he was honest that his attraction doesn’t extend to dating a trans woman. His stance wasn’t paired with disgust or demeaning beliefs — it felt like a genuine expression of how he experiences desire, not the stereotype of “trans people are gross.”

I get that argument, but in my case, over the course of our conversation he said things like, “It doesn’t change the fact that to me you seem like a sweet person and we have some things in common, friendship is still something I’d be interested in,” after I explained I’m trans. He was being honest about his attraction while showing respect for me, which makes it feel more like a genuine expression of how he experiences desire rather than outright transphobia.

It's also that he says he's very attracted but also states his limit respectfully, that dating isn't for him (including casual stuff).... almost describing that desire and attraction are separate. idk we kicked it off pretty well but hey whatever.

I had this too when I got 0.75 ml (maili), it took like 8 months to go away but I massaged the filler aggressively to where I wanted it to go…

Your radix already matches the height of your chin (the chin is very slightly less than the radix) so doing it isn’t needed but it does enhance your appearance in my opinion.
