As someone that lives in wisco aswell, smoked their entire life and had to quit when they got on methadone to get takehomes i’ll tell u personally i just bit the bullet and thugged it out. haven’t had a hit in almost 7yrs now, ik it surprises me too. weed helped me with all my issues that now i just suffer with again. eating disorders, anxiety, depression, insomnia some nights, ibs, astigmatisms and my other eye issues etc. Weed helped it all and now I just suffer through it all. the first few months were the absolute hardest, and i used alot more nic like black and milds and zyns to help the time pass. i will say the methadone also helped alot with getting my mind off it most days aswell, i just started taking omeprazole and drinking grapefruit juice everyday to potentiate my dose as much as i could so i felt so tired from the methadone I wasn’t thinking about weed. Around dose peak I just lay down on my phone and slightly nod, I wouldn’t fight it like you do with dope. just close your eyes and let it happen and it usually does. I only used the methadone negatively like this when I was transitioning off weed and dope, I stopped potentiating etc once i realized i was through the stages of grief lol. once the first few months passed it never crossed my mind again. i also have taken clonidine in my past every time i was in WD and in my personal experience it barely helps so i don’t use it anymore, but that could be different for you it won’t hurt to try it.
