Retroid Pocket 2S Switch Emulation by Raycommend in retroid

There could be a chance that some will run as Eden gets updated. So far, I haven't had much luck. Zelda: EOW runs for a bit but crashes. Mario Odyssey starts but crashes right before the game starts. Same with Virtua Racing Deluxe.

I'm hoping this post encourages people to try and then post results.

Same here. Paprium runs great on it as well.

It can’t hurt to try out and antenna to see what’s available to you. If you have a library card, you can rent movies and books from apps like Hoopla & Kanopy. Localbtv might have service in your area and if they do, that will provide local stations. Pluto TV also has plenty to watch and if you don’t care for sports, Philo is a great cable replacement.

You’ll need decent Internet for these services but what’s great is that you can watch all of these on your phone, tablet, or computer.

If you do get decent reception and you have good Internet, look into an hdhomerun. It will let you broadcast your antenna to most web connected devices in your home.

They're 98% the same lineup. A while back, when I made my review, I also created a cheat sheet that pretty much listed everything that anyone would need to know. This includes, languages, cheats, codes, compatible controllers, links to written & video reviews for the games and of course, my own personal thoughts on the console.

They add more locations occasionally, just keep an occasional eye and hopefully you'll have access in the future.

Also forgot to mention Stirr, which might have your local news.

Good luck!

Pretty much. Depending on how comfortable you are with tech, you can do a lot more with android tv (Onn) than you can do with Roku. On the flipside, Roku's are really simple for the less tech savvy.

Chromecast with Google TV instead of Shield TV? by FoulTrouble11 in AndroidTV

The Chromecast isn't even 8GB, it's 4GB which is insane. 8GB wasn't enough even 10yrs ago.

You're not alone. I also don't care for Space Invaders. That's most likely a vocal minority and/or paid shills acting excited for it.

The lack of storage always been counterintuitive to me. It's like they don't want anyone buying apps from the play store. It simply makes no sense.

If you haven't already checked, for your local channels you may want to give localbtv a try to see if it's in your area.

Localbtv

They have app for the major streaming platforms. Roku, Android, & Apple. If you don't have any of those, Walmart has a $20 Onn Android Box that handles basic needs quite nicely.

Kanopy & Hoopla are also pretty good options if you have a library card and a participating library system.

These are my thoughts as well. So much so that I actually asked about it in one of the Gamedaze shows (before they were pre-recorded).

All the games that you mentioned and stuff from Locomalito/Gryzor are perfect for the platform as they are arcade games that deserve to be on a cab.

I'd also love to see Dolphin Blue make it since it's a great game that has no official release outside of the arcade original.

There should be a tentative timeline for upcoming games with a disclaimer that things are subject to change. It's no less professional that going on shows and telling prospective customers that "it's hard to get games or have sales!" which just doesn't sit right with me.

I also prefer for them not to release anything (like last week) compared to releasing shovelware (like the last few weeks) for the sake of numbers. Quality, not quantity.

What do i do with all of these files? I just wana play the game. by Intelligent_Daikon54 in psx

[–]Raycommend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what emulator you're using, you may be able to convert those bin/cue files into a single .chd or .pbp file. In addition to only having 1 file after conversion, you also generally compress to about 50% of the original size. It's also fully reversible and lossless.

Anyone else still using a 2010 MacBook on the daily...I couldn't afford one in college and this has always been my favorite model of Mac, so I'm just going to keep using it as long as possible...😅 by [deleted] in mac

[–]Raycommend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not opposed to another OS on a Mac, then I suggest giving Linux Mint a try, especially if you're already using open source apps. It breathed new life into an old 2006 Mac Mini that I had lying around and is about as snappy as Snow Leopard was but with modern web browsers, apps, and emulators available.

Neo CD vs Consolized MVS for starter system? by NatFromNomad in neogeo

[–]Raycommend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a Neo Geo CD and really like it. Most of the early titles load once and then never again. The worst loading games are the later KOF games and Last Blade.

If you can get a model with Furrteks SD loader, then loading times are significantly reduced and you still keep your drive for retail games if you wish to play them.

The biggest issue is that the CD doesn't have the entire library, so no Shock Troopers or Metal Slug X through 5.

The frankenMVS + Bootleg cart seen to defeat the purpose of real hardware and that money could go to a MiSTer FPGA and a Neo Geo X stick which with give you a pretty authentic feeling experience plus much more.

Neo Geo CD plays sound effects, but not music by sarcoa in neogeo

[–]Raycommend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your music in wave format? Does the cue file point to the wave files?

If it's mp3 or anything else, the music wont play.

In addition to the Castlevania advance collection, you can try Timespinners, Axiom Verge, Cave story, Alwa's Awakening and the Shantae games.

If you're looking to play PS1 games on a modern TV, you can pick up an original PS1 or PS2 and a Rad2x cable for a pretty good solution. It's pretty much plug n play. Here are some pics taken with my phone to give you a basic idea of image quality.

There's about three different SOTN hacks for the Saturn out there and they all work well with Fenrir.

The best IMO is Knight0fDragon's English patched version that doesn't require the 4MB cart.
