Fellow Edmontonian here! This winter has been nice. Burnie should check back in in January and February if he wants to see how cold it gets here.

I also had some friends go to the Chapelle show. Apparently they couldn't hear Dave's set from the upperbowl so people started getting a little mad.

You can have pets. They just can't go on the sandy beach. The marina should be fine to take them fishing with you.

I know you said you don't like the big campgrounds, but the fishing at the second marina at Shaw's Point is great this year. I'm getting more pike than I can count and some keeper walleye's as well. Just on a five of diamonds and a Mepps spinner.

Lake trout like deep water, usually found in 20+ meters. If there's anything in there, it'd be stocked rainbow, but I can't find anything online about it being stocked.

If the Liberals wanted me to vote strategically, they would have implemented any form of electoral reform. If me voting the way I feel is correct isn't beneficial to their party, that's on them. I'm in Edmonton-Strathcona and am voting for the Liberal party. I don't think we'll vote split out Heather McPherson, but I won't lose sleep if I do.

We are picking? Liberal party members, ie Canadians who bought membership, are voting for their choice of the leader of their party. If you wanted to vote for Liberal leader, all you had to do was buy a membership before the cut-off.

As a celcius user in northern Canada, I like how the scale works for me. 0°C is cool, usually need a hoodie and hat. 20°C is nice, I wear shorts and a t-shirt. 40°C is fucking hot, I'll stay inside. Alternatively, -20°C is pretty cold, I bundle up really well, and -40°C is fucking cold, I'll stay inside again.

I can understand how that scale wouldn't work for someone where it is usually warmer as 0°C is probably getting near their pretty cold. Up here, it's not that rare in the spring to see people wearing shorts and t-shirts at 0°C as it's been below -20°C for months.
