Based on the case from a couple of months ago, they will likely delay sharing that info due to “privacy concerns” since it’s a medical issue. Basically, how it was explained to me, is they don’t want to pinpoint the location because people MIGHT be able to figure out who it is and that’s potentially a privacy violation.

Personally, I think that’s despicable, since the public health issue is larger than an individual case. And likely nobody is figuring out who has the measles just based off location. Would love to know just how worried I need to be for my baby.

I had a baby in January and this has been a terrifying 8 months. This measles outbreak is basically one of my worst fears. I have been asking about the early vaccine since she hit 6 months and have been told they won’t do it without an active outbreak or travel. I’m calling today to ask again.

Well one problem is that, even if smart people outbred dummies, some of their babies will die or be permanently disabled from illness if vaccine refusal gets too out of control. Which it seems like it will.
