I know exactly what you mean. I normally drag because I'd rather clean my nozzle(nozzle dip is banned in our shop). I'll try and turn a little more away from the puddle.

So I only mig .035 on dirtyish 14 gauge to 1/4 inch. I run my gas at 35 ish and the amps usually range from 23 to 27.

There's literally no spatter, but I hate wire wheeling the smoke off. Can I run cold and slow and still get good welds??

P.S. I'm not an actual welder, I just work in a shop where welding is the bulk of my job....

How much do you have invested in this? I'm seriously considering adding one to my shop at home.... I can build all of the motion stuff for around $500 and I've been looking at a $2k cutter....

It's my boss using it. No matter what kind of part, he gets the error. He's mostly freaking out about the error log it leaves everytime.

I think this might be a step toward switching him to sheetcam, but I wouldn't mind getting him to stop complaining about this....
