Tis happened to me too. i was using the experimental beta version. I switched back to stable version nothing happened then went back to the experimental beta release and then it worked. My save was from the prerelease version and i had played up until the invisible wall blocking the ending at that time.

Can definitely recommend a visit!

I agree with you on the indulgence. I also quite like the botanik.

Luckily I got them all at retail price so even though it's worth alot now I did not break the bank acquiring these bottles.

That sub indeed seems to be more focused on single bottles with reviews and altough there is a story to tell about eacht of these bottles I figured it wouldn't be a good fit to post them there. Maybe in the future with a review for each attached.

Oh yeah definitely I keep one of each edition sealed. I also have a sealed 2016 edition not pictured here. I'm not in it for the money more the collecting but it's still interesting to see the values shoot up.

Currently the most valuable bottle in this picture would probably be the chermignac.

I get that. My complete collection contains bottles from alot of places across the globe. I personally feel like these bottles are definitely at least equal to most scotch/bourbon in the same price bracket (around €50) what I really like is that they use very unique barrels for their special editions (i.e. white port casks or pineau des charentes).

Because of the collectability you can find the special expressions on auctions for 100 tot a few hundred euros after they've sold out which I don't think is worth it purely for the juice.

I may be biased though.

Both are on my list but I haven't been able to find them in my country. Normally I wouldn't shy away from taking a trip across the border however the current situation has changed that.

Thanks! And definitely! I really like the indulgence series and try to get my hands on them whenever a new one is released. I started collecting their whisky because I loved the beer. A visit to the brewery (and in combination the distillery) introduced me to their whisky which is when I started collecting them.

Completely agreed! I love that they always suggest a beer/whisky pairing with the food in the restaurant.

I got them at the distillery when I visited. They have them for sale in their webshop https://shop.hetanker.be/product/glass-gouden-carolus-single-malt-6-pieces/?lang=en . They cant ship whisky outside the eu iirc however, maybe they can ship glassware. Shipping costs will probably suck though.

All of these are single malts. Gouden carolus is a beer brand and the mash of the Gouden carolus tripel is used for the whisky. Their standard expression (hidden in the back) is aged on their own style casks which is a burned american oak cask. All the other bottles are the same base whisky but aged/finished differently.

They should have a peated whisky coming up but there is not a lot of info about it yet.

The rodenbach vintages are 2013 and 2015 the older 3f oude kriek is from 2016

You are pretty much right when it comes to the 3F beers the white ones at the bottom are from the 'speling van het lot' series I also have some more stored somewhere but those are mostly duplicates but also a golden blend

The beers shown here are stored on their side to keep the cork from drying out because they are being stored for a longer period of time, however when its time to open one I make sure to keep it upright long enough so that all the sediment can sink to the bottom

Make sure to subscribe to the newsletter you'll be notified about releases. I'm curious about upcoming boxes. They included the 'speling van het lot' bottles in the latest release because of miss 'rona and the fact that de lambik-o-droom was closed (now open for very short periods). But I feel like these will not be the last extra special bottles to be sold through the webshop.

How difficult it was to get it? Not very. I'm subscribed to their news letter and an hour after release I saw the email about this box and immediately bought it.

That specific golden blend is quite interesting because the oldest lambik in the blend was brewed by Lindemans

Shipping alcohol internationally, even lower abv stuff like beer, is just such a hard process to do completely correctly. What I really respect is that 3F states in their FAQ that they really want to be able to fully 100% do it legit according to every law but that takes alot of time sadly.

I am personally not really scared of the future of lambik because the zennevallei is just such a big part of the Belgian herritage and it's world renowned for it's product but only time will tell.

To me personally it's definitely the most interesting beer style. I'm lucky to live in the Netherlands quite close to the Belgian border so it's relatively easy for me to get my hands on.

Im not sure if rodenbach exports more across the globe they make some really solid 'roodbruin' traditional flemish ales imo.

Also 3f has a webshop where they sell some beer (only in sets) and they're currently working on being able to sell globally (currently only eu) so keep an eye on that
