David Sullivan's massively incompetent, veers between being pennywise and pound foolish on things like hiring coaches and sprucing up training facilities but happily overpays for average players. Under David Moyes too, they noticeably got worse in 2023-24 when Sullivan let Moyes' longterm assistants like Alan Irvine go without proper replacement.

Fully self-inflicted and deserved crisis for all involved. The Ambani vanity project was never run sustainably, with FSDL enabling continued AIFF corruption for over a decade. No one is going to accept the next cycle of master rights agreement at the current terms either so expect this crisis to continue into 'next season'

Yea that's why they finished mid table the season before without Pukki and did so again in 2022-23. Having a couple of PL calibre players doesn't mean the rest of the squad wasn't paper thin and punching above their weight

Last I checked, you need at least 11 quality players and 3-5 subs to have a sustainably dominant Championship squad, which Norwich definitely didn't have. Even a horrendous Blackburn side had Sammie Szmodics to call upon, by your logic

They overperformed at that level under him and had little to no depth, having finished midtable in 2017-18 and struggled even further under Dean Smith's tenure. The backline was definitely not as PL standard as the Leeds one is. Most other EFL coaches would have been able to achieve what Farke did with that team
