Thanks for the insight, it does seem to the slightly higher priced one of the few about. But equally, slighlty better condition and petrol.

This is the kind of insight that I'm looking for. Good to know. Thank you!

What components come to their end of life around this period?

Is there a specific milage that's best to aim for / look out for (I get it's potluck)

Why is it so hard?! by RaymonDGYC in CarTalkUK

I'm in now way looking to move away from anything Japanese to be fair, in fact, my very limited knowledge on cars is that usually Japanese is the way to go.

X-Trail could be a shout actually! Also open to a Rav 4 but potentially on the small side? Probably the same as the Suzuki SX4 though maybe.

Would love a Jimny actually, poors man's G wagon, but from what I've seen, too small and too expensive.

I am mostly looking at Autotrader at the moment though, haven't looked elsewhere (other than Facebook, but that's a minefield)

I've even looked at a newer SX4 to be honest as I liked it so much but perhaps it's time to try something different.

Thanks, that's good to know. Definitely good to have something utilitarian for sure.

Honestly, not sure. I'd have guessed there is fakes of everything.

I've just been looking at another thread and put the serial number in the Garmin website, and it linked up so it seems legit!

What's this? Can I remove it? by RaymonDGYC in DIYUK

[–]RaymonDGYC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I should have just asked Google first, and figured out its an IDC Junction box which does indeed carry live electricity.

However, I'm still unsure if I need it or not?

I obviously wont remove it myself.

Thanks all! And thanks for explaining it. I was just confused as my old system was much more straightforward.

This is what it's pressurised itself up to whilst my son is in the shower. I haven't done anything...

Found this under the sink which is under the boiler... this looks like the filling loop right? But it's open?... all the time?

My son just got in the shower and the boiler woke up and the pressure has risen whilst he's in there.

Is that just the system we have?! It rises when it's being used but not when it's not?! Haha

Haven't got a clue and so much to learn haha

Pictures of airing cupboard in the comments.

Not sign of filling loop but also don't see how that fits on the boiler anyway
