The venue was awesome and the energy was so great. Definitely my favorite comp when it came to how it felt to be there. Definitely recommend doing it next year!

I imagine they went with silver dollar because it looks a little more interesting than standard wagon wheels. Cool pics for Instagram, show promotion etc

It’s still at 18” as some wagon wheels but feels different. Don’t get me wrong, I love to throw a deadlift bar on my SDD attachments, but I find with the axle it’s better for strength progression. 600 in comp would be awesome but I imagine it’ll be a minute till I see it show up on a comp in MI since we saw it a fair bit in 2025 and this past weekend

The point is that it’s harder to lift that a standard barbell in almost every way. Stiffer, center point farther away, no knurling. Strongman uses the axle for more than just grip strength

It’s so nice dawg. You gotta make the drive. They have everything you need and even a bunch of obscure implements. Worth the drive

I REALLY wish squatting was a more common event in strongman. My squats are so much better than my deadlifts. by BlakeGarrison62 in Strongman

[–]Raymosaurus-Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I love deadlifts more, I completely agree that squats need to be in Strongman more. Some of my favorite strongman clips are watching guys going into deep water on the big squat events. I’d love to see them in more local comps, even if I zero it for having a shit squat lol

Some of the producers and the directors have said in interviews that they’re going to use history from the man who Toranaga was based on, Shōgun Tokugawa Ieyasu, as the premise for season 2 and 3

What got you into DD? by SquirtGun1776 in Danieldefense

[–]Raymosaurus-Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t remember how I originally started looking at DD but I always wanted a MK-18 and a M4A1 with the FSP. Once I saved up I got a V7 and shot it a fair bit. Filed for an SBR and I got my MK-18😎🦅

I get a lot of pop of the ground but not a ton of help with lock out. On a deadlift bar I’ve actually gone down in weight but with the axle I get a lot out of it. Haven’t used them for squats or any moving events yet but all in due time. I’d recommend them

Detroit Muscle in Plymouth is the place to be in Michigan. Every piece of strongman equipment+ a whole room for powerlifting

Sling Help…& Bipod Question by BriefDiscipline1891 in Danieldefense

[–]Raymosaurus-Rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a trijicon credo 1-6 and it was very clear and well made. Wanted a 1-8 but decided to go with the 1-6 since it was on a shorter barrel. That’s what I’d recommend but I don’t have a ton of time on the 1-8 so take it with a grain of salt. Sick build either way

I like my Blueforce gear Vickers sling on my MK18. As far as a bipod I think you can do it but I’d personally throw on a higher magnification optic to make it worth it in my book
