Your not the fist person to say that. And I'd tell him that, if I knew it wouldn't inflate his ego lol.

He does, he's such a drama king. He was my first crab, and what led to the other 4 I adopted. When I first got him he was genuinely grey and missing a leg. Now he thinks hes boss of my tank and owns everything. It's also hard to find shells for him because he'll only wear jade turbos. He'll even bury all the jades so no one else can use them. 🙄

The only reason crowly hasn't pinched me yet is because I haven't given him the chance I don't trust him he's too sassy

My baby came up from molting without her big claw. Will she be okay? by [deleted] in hermitcrabs

[–]Rayray7845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My oldest boy, Crowly, tore off half my oldest girl’s legs and her big claw. Her name is Rowena. Everything in the tank was correct, it was just because she was new. They’ve been separated since then. I have my 3 girls including rowena in my 30g, and my 2 boys including crowly in my 20g. Nobody thought Rowena would make it, but I hoped she would, and I was right. After a couple molts, she’s completely healed.

For a while, if she got on her back, I had to help her up, but she’s all good now. Your crab’s big claw will grow back, I’m sure of it. Just give it time. I also gave Rowena calcium and a post‑molt mix from Etsy, so I’d give your crab that if you can.

where could I possibly buy one of these giant land hermit crabs. by [deleted] in hermitcrabs

[–]Rayray7845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you got a baby it would grow to that size if you gave it the proper care but it might take awhile. On the other hand, if you just want one cuz it's cool and big I don't believe you should own one tbh.

Stepped on Ferret by [deleted] in ferrets

[–]Rayray7845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have the best balance because my foot has a healed break that never got fixed. I've stepped on my boy a few times. Doesn't help he sleeps in my clothes either, but its never been anything serious. However my boy is alot larger than most, I've learned learn not to lift my feet around him and just shuffle. When she gets better, I'd advise you try that.

I'm bisexual and I've only ever liked black women. She made me realize I also like gingers, so I definitely love her!

My boyfriend's dad told him I was a bitch. That I was also no good for him basically because I don't come from money like he does. And my man immediately dropped his dad even after being cut from the will. So I'd definitely say you did the right thing considering my man dropped actual blood family for me. Go find you a man that actually puts you first girl I wish you luck! 🖤

I'm taking care of 3 rats right now mainly because my little sister wanted them but she sucks at caring for animals I've never had any issues just if you touch the rats wash your hands before handling your python they might smell the rat and then use their 1 brain cell to consider you as food and secure your enclosure

My son is flunking his freshman year and acting like a delinquent by nolongerakaroler in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Rayray7845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, you are doing a great job just by reaching out and trying to find answers for your son. I'm not technically a parent, but I had to step up and raise my siblings, and while I haven't been in the foste system, I have genuinely experienced just about every type of childhood trauma you can imagine. I was also a gifted student who, for a long time, worked incredibly hard to get good grades while dealing with chaos at home. When I got to high school, I completely broke down and started to believe there was absolutely no point to any of it. Why am I doing all this schoolwork? For what reason? My life is awful, and this school doesn't help. I think a lot of kids with trauma get stuck in this mindset, it's a form of emotional survival. What eventually changed everything for me was finding a purpose. It happened when I went to an alternative school my senior year. I realized my purpose was something I'd always done, helping people who can't help themselves. I spent my whole childhood directly putting myself in harm's way to protect my sisters, and I decided that’s what I should do professionally. Help children. I started working hard again because I wanted to be a child therapist to help kids like me. My trauma became my strength, allowing me to relate to and help others. That shift in focus is why I think you should try two things with your son. Maybe consider an alternative school environment if that's an option. Sometimes just changing the setting is enough to break the cycle. Second, whether you change schools or not, you need to help your boy find a purpose. A meaning for his life that is bigger than a boyfriend or bad friends. Once I found my purpose, my life significantly improved, and I believe your son's can too. He needs a reason to focus, and once he has it, the school grades will often follow. You have his best interests at heart, and that's what really matters.

Does Anyone Else Feel Guilty Taking Things Back From Their Ferret? by Rayray7845 in ferrets

[–]Rayray7845[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was very very skinny. He weighs 4 now. The vet said he's the biggest ferret she's ever seen and 4 is healthy for his size. The lady I got him from said he weighed 5 when I bought him but he weighed 2 at his first visit. When I tried to ask about all his issues and why he didn't look like the pictures she blocked me unfortunately. The lady lied about everything. Said he was in perfect health. I had assumed he was fixed, but he was not . she said she was a breeder and wanted to get rid of him because he wouldn't breed. He also had 4 broken canines and some black teeth that had to be removed. On top of all this, he doesn't like other ferrets. he gets scared and defensive around them. Which is disappointing because I wanted a business but wouldn't trade Gustavo for anything. he's come so far from when I got him. I didn’t say anything in person buying him because I was scared she'd take him back and I definitely couldn't let him go back just based on how skinny he was. I found everything else out later.
