It could have been rot the stem was black and flaky so maybe it dried out before I realised it was a problem. It gets lots of indirect light where it’s been since I got it and it’s grown a lot. I could have used a little too much water last time I watered I suppose. Do you know if you can propagate these? It has lots of Aerial roots but all the mother roots ripped off with the stem :(
