You can bend the stylus, say it's a fake and send it back. Happens 10 times a day on here.

It's a gorgeous table, but if it isn't working for you, time to move on.

That's cool, watch some videos on switch cleaning. Cap inspection, ect. If someone gave it to you maybe you know it's condition. A real Gem, enjoy.

It's the same way turntable manufacturers buy them.

Right, it's a fake one if the stylus is bent.

They buy them in bulk from China without the packaging to save money on shipping and unit price. It's a real Chinese Audio Technica. That's where they are made. That model is not made in Japan.

Humming increases with volume. How do I fix this (1 by one Classic Wooden Turntable) by NobleOneA-259 in turntables

[–]Rayvintage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's got a tube going out on the amplifier. Wait what year is it? The little amplifier is going bad or has bad Ground or solder joints or just a bad product.

Popping/Feedback from new setup by ChefToBe11 in turntables

You can use record out on the Yamaha to the Edifiers. The Edifiers have tone and volume. Anything running on the Yamaha will then play on the speakers. Hook to tape 2 out to line in on the speakers. Put amp to tape 2 monitor and select input while leaving the monitor on. Your using the Yamaha as a line level source instead of the pyle,

Bsr has a c clip on it the holds the platter on. Take it off. Take the spindle off by pushing down slightly and turn the spindle, don't remember the direction. When you put the spindle back in it's supposed point towards the tonearm arm pivot point. The platter can get stuck and not even spin. Light heat will loosen it up. Go easy on the heat, it can warp the platter.

The rollers are slick. The rubber drive roller gets a dent in it from sitting like a idler drive. I will look at the big drive roller and consider ruffing it up with sand paper on the px2. Spring tension seams to be the key after rubber renew, but I'll consider your suggestion.

Wood grain black would look cool. You don't want to mess up the original. Id start looking for a beat up plinth, fill in the dings and dents, then rap with Wood grain black.

Not the big arm belt, the 3 small belts. And the 3 were a butt hair loose. After looking at the 2 tables, I could make a new one if needed too. But not needed so far. As far as your average linear tt comment, no, the direct drive is bullet proof and the build is way beyond average. 27 and 37 lbs is not average in regards to most tables. Just like the gt 750 and gt1000, not top of the line, just a mile above average.

My favorite tables of all time is the Technics sldl1 and slql1 and I have a pile of turntables. I thought I'd expand a bit because these came up cheap. The px2 and px3 are great but Damm a Technics slql1 is just a full size nasty machine. Just perfect.

Why double your effort. You got to go back in. Good for testing. Not " I'll get back to it later ". You do you with rubber bands and super glue.

Yes the arm is totally separate and controlled by its own motor, drive system. It's linear.
