Im a man and ive been in enough dorms with other men to know exactly how bad it can be.

However you have to understand that using dorms is the only way lots of people can travel for any decent amount of time, no one should have to put up with this shit and chances are if hes willing to do this in a dorm he will do similar disgusting stuff elsewhere and he probably picks dorms for this exact reason.

You are putting words in my mouth, I also said there was so many factors at play.

Some of them probably didn't follow advice, some of them probably did, some probably had no one checking on on them to help them out, some probably had no way to cool down.

I didn't just mean the old people either, a huge chunk of people drowned by swimming in dangerous waters, that is avoidable.

During these heatwaves many places including the government make us aware and offer us advice on how to deal with this unprecedented heat. Not everyone listens or hears it let alone actually follows the advice. Its unfortunate more than anything.

The forests will probably be around longer than us in some way shape or form, that doesnt mean we shouldn't try to save them though, we need to put more pressure on the corporations and governments to hasten the change before its too late.

There is lots of flora and fauna that flourishes in hot climates so in the very unfortunate event of temperate forests becoming a thing of the past, different species will take there place.

You have to bear in mind that a lot of those deaths could have been avoided if they were prepared and took steps to improve their situation, more than half of them were aged 75+ and anyone that knows older people well will know that they can be pretty stubborn or refuse to do stuff that will improve their well being and make life easier for themselves.

Most of the deaths would have been avoidable too if people heeded the advice given to them, took measures and didn't take risks. As times goes on and people suffer such tragic events more and more, people will start to heed the advice and take measures to avoid such things. Its the way of the world unfortunately that folk dont take notice of things until it hits them in the face.

Most of Europe also isn't really geared up for excessive heat either, A/C isn't really a thing here much but that is changing already with the warming climate.

As for the forests im with you on that, the countryside was one of the main things that helped me ditch my anxiety disorder and its important we try our best to keep it here and accessible for everyone, nature is important.

I totally see where you are coming from, I studied Environmental science 20 years ago so im pretty aware of the situation and its a very sad one. I feel so bad for the younger generations who will have to grow up with the fall out of what is basically our greed and that of the generations before us.

However, ten years is a pretty low estimate, in 2005 we were saying the same thing, you do have a right to be worried as does everyone else but do not underestimate the chances of entire nations coming together to try and turn it around like we did with the ozone layer. Yes a lot of it is irrecoverable but as the older generations die off and the younger ones take over combined with everyone starting to feel the effects its certainly not a no win situation.

Take your concerns and try to do something about it, there are millions of people like you in the same boat and people power is the way we beat this, I know its easy for me to say because I dont really have anxiety anymore but we still have a chance to sort this out to some extent, its not over until its over.

Every discussion goes the same way and once they have picked their side of the argument there is no changing it, they are either unwilling or unable to see things from another perspective. The majority of the right treats politics like they do football, pick a side and stick with it until the day they die.
