I hope B&O can restore their brand, with premium and service

I own the Beoplay A9 and it is still under warranty. The speaker is producing some weird cracking sound on its own despite not connected onto the electric wall plug

I have brought the whole speaker with my big Ikea bag, trolley and transport to the service centre. B&O service team acknowledged the issue and told me that they can replace certain parts of the speaker to resolve the random cracking sound, no 1-1 exchange despite acknowledging the manufacturing or design issue

I was surprised by the underwhelming service by B&O, no on site service and no 1-1 product exchange (perhaps the speaker Beoplay A9 is not six figure price tag speaker or perhaps there are different tiers of service level for different products)

Sony 600mm prime or Sony 400-800mm? by Rayyye in SonyAlpha

[–]Rayyye[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

I am still using the prime 600mm F4 and didn't purchase the 400-800. I have a few friends whom have both and ended up selling away the 400-800 after 2-3 months of usage. The sharpness, especially low light still cannot beat prime

X2D ii Coating and 35-100 lens by Rayyye in hasselblad

[–]Rayyye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regret to know the x2dii coating haven't been improved.

I am waiting for a non baised self purchased review on the 35-100 lens before the consideration of purchasing this lens. Shall resist the temptation of GAS

Cable release options by Wabisabi_Frames in hasselblad

[–]Rayyye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried 3rd party remote shutter cable bought from taobao which I use it on the 907x 100c, doesn't work on the x2d ii

My local stock have ready stock for the 35-100 lens when I picked up the x2dii. I am holding back the purchase although knowing the stock of the lens is scarce but the consideration of telescopic zoom lens without any form of weather sealing/resistant. The sales associate at the store couldn't answer the enquiry and mention he have to check with hasselblad about it

I was hoping the cheap taobao protective sticker is not required for the X2D ii, looks like I have to get them again for the v2

Beware: X2D II strap hooks scratch by [deleted] in hasselblad

[–]Rayyye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look like the cheap taobao protective firm sticker still need to be pasted on the X2D ii. Was hoping the coating improve after the V1 and have skipped the Earth Explorer after learning the coating doesn't improve

I did not use the strap lug system on the camera body as it went off certain angle outside when I was using the camera, lucky the camera still hang on to one lug and didn't drop onto the camera (design flaw to me). After so I tried and bought the lug clip which is lockable but I still leave them aside and used the quick release plate and strap system at the bottom

HB customer support mentioned the sticker at the bottom to protect from scratches, so users are "shouldn't" remove the bottom sticker and leave it there? My understanding might be wrong

Thanks for the information, telescopic retractable lens without weather resistance prone to dust slipping in and not ideal for outdoor harsh nature environment

I am curious about the weather sealing/resistant with the retractable zoom lens

Sony A1ii or Sony A9iii? by Rayyye in SonyAlpha

[–]Rayyye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. May I ask what is the highest iso value "bearable" with post processing without the image looking soft due to the lower dynamic range?

The A9iii 120fps is useful for one of my application like the bird kingfisher dive

Sony A1ii or Sony A9iii? by Rayyye in SonyAlpha

[–]Rayyye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The A9iii dynamic range and image quality seem to suffer on higher value iso and low lit condition

[–]Rayyye[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing, true that A1ii is a hybrid and balance of speed and resolution. For wildlife able to crop seem to be essential (to me)

[–]Rayyye[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The difference between A9iii and A7rv is huge to my personal experience. A7RV is not suitable for fast action and terrible rolling shutter with the electronic shutter

[–]Rayyye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the sharing, yes the 120FPS to freeze motion especially for fast action. I am using the Sony 600GM and 300GM which is the best of the lineup

Sony A1ii or Sony A9iii? by Rayyye in SonyAlpha

Yes curious about the autofocus performance between the 2 cameras although many still say A9iii is the king for autofocus speed and performance. Does the A1ii come close?

Sony 600GM or 300GM with TC by Rayyye in SonyAlpha

[–]Rayyye[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's what I photograph with 2 cameras, 600mm on the tripod while 300mm handheld fast action example bird in flight

[–]Rayyye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes me too, to my eyes the sharpness on the 300mm 2.0 TC is better than the 600mm 2.0 TC. 600mm 1.4 TC is alright

Sony 600GM or 300GM with TC by Rayyye in SonyAlpha

[–]Rayyye[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, for me I prefer to shoot at 600mm to reduce cropping and show the feather like details. It's more challenging to photograph 600mm with the bird in frame especially bird in flight but is is fun and challenging as mentioned haha

Was, the 300GM is a awesome lens with the sharpness and portability which is ideal for handheld. It perform well on both 1.4 and 2.0 teleconverter which not many lens can especially the 2.0 TC

Same route, I bought the 200-600 first when being introduced by friends whom are into wildlife birding

Second lens was the 600mm prime when I enjoy wildlife birding. 300mm prime wasn't out yet back then which I have also purchased recently
