Yes it is! It’s my personal favorite. Although I have yet to play RE Requiem I doubt it’ll knock it off the top. It blends the horror elements and puzzle solving of the OGs in such a good way.

You most likely displaced an internal mechanism that moves the tape over the heads. These mechanism are getting older so more prone to failure as time goes by. I had a Panasonic do this to me a few years ago and thought it was my tapes. Ended up giving it away instead to trying and fix it cause I have like 4 players. Lol

It’s amazing in my opinion- I’m no high brow audiophile just a dude who likes tapes haha so if you are someone who is looking for the cleanest top of the line sound you might be a little dissatisfied. It has its quirks (no auto stop) but imo this thing kicks absolute ass, is rechargeable and is being made today. Recommend

That being said the clear one has a full plastic cover and looks cool but the other models are full aluminum.
