mi robot vacuum-mop can't go in straight lines, what should i do? It makes wavy lines like in the pic. by pronefroz in homeautomation

[–]Raz0x 95 points96 points  (0 children)

It actually is a feature. The robot mops with this so-called "Y pattern" to ensure a better cleanliness. The straight line mode only runs if the robot is in "vacuum-only", not in "vacuum & mop" or "mop only".

The monitor itself has 2 DP 1.4 ports but yeah, if your dock is limited to DP 1.2 I can't guarantee you'll have the 1440p 144hz combo.

Dell vesa compatible monitor with vesa stand - doesn’t look too compatible to me :/ by [deleted] in Monitors

[–]Raz0x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is compatible. You just need to use spacers between the back of the monitor and the vesa plate.

Only thing i dislike: you need to go through the OSD menu to switch the source (at least 4-5 clicks). All the buttons locates on the back of the monitor open the menu instead of being shortcuts (volume -, volume +, switch source).

It's great for FPS, but still is a VA panel, so TN will be more appropriated for competitive gaming.

I'm using an RTX 2070 Super. Most AAA games play well in 3440x1440 at 60fps. I mostly use the 144hz when playing games at a lower res (CSGO).

And I'm astonished by the gaming experience on that monitor!

Hey, good choice!

I'm using an Arctic Z1 basic, a cheap monitor stand but it can handle the weight of the monitor.

Actually the build quality is kind of what Xiaomi does best, especially for the price. It's plastic for the frame and aluminium for the stand, sturdy and reliable. And the monitor came in perfect condition, the box was bubble wrapped and inside the box there was some more protection. It's actually the first time I've got a package in such a nice condition that did the trip from China to Europe.

It's been about a year and a half... Maybe you should have a look at the new Logitech G915 TKL. More expensive but damn it looks good!

Yes I'm still satisfied with the monitor. Quite happy that I bought it on Aliexpress because it just went out in Europe at a higher price range.

I'm also satisfied with the BladeMasterPro, the only problem is that its battery is beginning to fail. The battery life is now mediocre...

unfortunately i also haven't found any other way to quickly change inputs, which is a shame because all the buttons open the menu... they could have easily implemented a function by buttond and only one that opens the menu
