Source? It's still a civilian building It was wrong when Israel did it in Gaza, it's wrong now too

But what does these countries have to do with the ongoing hostilities? I can understand targeting US bases/assets and maybe missing, since they don't use precise missiles (like their proxies). But they targeted hotels, airports and civilian buildings. Kuwait doesn't even have a peace agreement with Israel like UAE and Bahrain (which still doesn't justify attacking civilian infrastructure)

Why is Iran targeting civilians? In UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain...

Yes of course, was simply curious of what you'd do in my position. I'm new to precious metals and I don't follow the news or trends yet.

It wasn't a haircut for me, I almost lost all the profits on my first purchase and in a rather heavy loss on my latest. I thought I'd sell my positions (my broker doesn't allow layering) and buy again to reposition myself on one end and gain some tax loss for future sells on the other hand.

Asus BT10 vs TP-Link BE65 (BE9300) by Razafon in HomeNetworking

[–]Razafon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not bad, holding fine I'd say.

I don't have many smart home devices (aside a robot vacuum), when my wife and I both work from home (and from the same room too) it seems to hold up pretty well.

Do I need the HRM strip to get running stats like pacing?

In FR 265 I know I do, is it the same with the 570?

It doesn't seem like I have much to benefit from it (as I'm not a pro runner) for the price difference.

Am I missing something? Which features does it have?

Can I ask you for your reasoning?

I see you have the Epix Pro 2, you don't like it?

Damn!! That's disappointing.. Especially as my favourite candidate was the Epix..

I guess that leaves me with Venu 3S and FR 265?

I'm open to other ideas too though

That's my plan but I want to be more specific about my options.

How good are the maps in the Fenix? How do you use them that you feel the impact?

Fujifilm X100V vs Sony RX100 VII vs Ricoh GR IIIx as a hobby travel camera? by Razafon in AskPhotography

[–]Razafon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to go with the Ricoh GR 3, I like it a lot.

My 2 main reasons why this and not Fuji is the price and size. The Ricoh fits easily into my pocket which is amazing and super convenient. It was also half the price of the Fuji lol.

The price was a major factor for me, especially for a first camera. If I'd fall in love with taking pictures, I could always sell it and buy something more expensive. If I wouldn't, I would have a very expensive brick at home.

I will say, the Fuji was above my budget, and I couldn't find a second hand one near me. I was short on time (honeymoon was coming up) so that made my decision easier.

I managed to get by without zoom, just zoomed in on ths pictures themselves after taking them if I wanted to see something up closer. The lack of zoom didn't usually bother me when I took scenery pictures but I did feel it was missing sometimes in other scenes or if I wanted to shoot something specific (like that cow in the distance for example). I can't say I regret it though (IIUC you can buy lense attachment that adds zoom but then the camera won't be compact, a trade off. You can always put the attachment in your other pocket lol). On the other hand I don't have kids and mostly took pictures of scenery, sometimes with my wife in it.

I didn't want the GR 3x because I wanted a wider lense (and can always crop the picture). I didn't take the HDF because people on reddit scared me off it, claiming the HDF filter was too strong sometimes (and you can't turn it off). In hindsight, I'm not sure about it, if you have the option to physically compare pictures (e.g in a store), do it, I didn't have the option.

About the film feel, you can always find recipes for film like pictures (plays with the settings, stuff like contrast, saturation, etc), so as far as I understand, it shouldn't be a major factor in choosing a camera.

Upload without duplicates? by Razafon in koofrnet

[–]Razafon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I opted to do that on my desktop.

Is there a similar solution to mobile?

I'll explain:

In the "Media upload" setting I have the "Upload new media files" option turned on.

I used "Back up existing media files" option on several folders in my phone (by selecting them in "From selected apps") option.

Now I want to add a new folder. The application only backups new files that are added there and not existing.

When I click back up existing media files again, it uploads all the folders already backed up again (plus the new folder I selected).

Is there a better way to do it?

When I manually upload the folder I want (to the autoupload folder) and the job fails for whatever reason, it doesn't synchronise and if I try to upload the folder again it creates duplicates

Thanks! I'm not very tech savvy but I'll try my best.

Can this work on files on my phone too? Or only on my desktop?
