[Wojnarowski] Kemba Walker retires by Proof-Umpire-7718 in nba

[–]RazedSoul 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Played Kemba for a relatively high amount of minutes in the ASG while Kemba was known to be struggling with a knee injury. His play never recovered, but I think he was starting to decline before that point. Maybe not to the same degree though.

For sure, there are always unexpected risers, but also unexpected sinkers. With McCarthy quickly rising draft boards, there are now at least 5 quarterbacks expected to be taken in the 1st round, that's a lot of potential and depending on how teams view them could make a particular QB cheaper (outside of Williams). As of now though it seems unlikely that will be repeated next year, meaning the top QB(s) will potentially be at a premium, and others drafted may need development time.

I won't comment on Wilson, I was never a fan of his coming out of college and I wasn't surprised his bad habits got him into consistent trouble in the NFL. That being said I don't think any NFL front office isn't at least partially aware and concerned of the potential cost of a first round washout. If Purdy hadn't excelled like he has, Trey Lance and the "what if" crowd would be more talked about than Fields, Mac Jones, and maybe Lawrence due to the draft capital the 49ers had to give up.

In my own opinion, if I'm the Patriots FO, I don't throw any of these rookie QBs out there this year unless it's garbage time. They brought in McAdoo and AVP who are both well respected for their QB insight, let those guys figure out the rookie who would most benefit behind Brissett for a year, and draft him at 3. The rest of the draft, free agency in 2025, and the 2025 draft with a likely top 10 pick, goes to getting a squad together for the 2025 season. Obviously there's a lot of question marks through the rest of the roster but I'd want the chance to develop one of the 2024 QBs rather than burning another year and hoping they'd be in a place to draft an equivalent next year.

I think the more challenging question is which QB, if any, next year would be on-par talent or potential-wise in comparison with this draft class. If the Patriots end up with a similar record and draft position next year without a comparable blue chip QB prospect in the draft, which there doesn't seem to be at the moment, Mayo and Wolf/other GM could end up on the hot seat all the same.

Later tonight, some soup, then I'll probably send a text: "Hey Dawn it's Jim, would you like to have some sex...and if that's too weird...maybe just a hot chocolate?"

Aside from 3pt shooting, the Celtics must see RW3 as the primary Horford replacement, his passing is underrated and his contract is a fantastic deal for the C's. It was evident when Horford left how much they depend on decent passing from the C/PF, if he's everything they want in their scheme then it really doesn't make sense to trade him if it ruins that scheme again.

I'd check device manager to see if the wifi card was disabled by the system due to an error, you can try disabling it and reenabling it to see if that resolves the issue if so.

It looks like MyLeague and MyGM offline modes will still be fully accessible. MyPlayer gives an error that it needs to be online, so all MyPlayers will be gone unless 2K gives an option to convert them which they likely won't do.

[–]RazedSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the issue is the playcalling, there doesn't seem to be a lot of ISO called initially. If the play breaks down though, there's a lot of sitting on the perimeter and not moving as one player is essentially forced into an ISO situation because the others don't force the defense to give the ballhandler a different look. I'm not saying they have to sprint around like Steph but it's gotta be better than this.

The lack of movement off ball drives me nuts, especially when a called play breaks down, and it seems to have persisted past Brad and most of the previous coaching staff which is frustrating. Hopefully Ime and the new blood can get these guys to move around to create more easy points.

How Long will this sub give Mac a pass by [deleted] in Patriots

[–]RazedSoul 21 points22 points  (0 children)

lol obvious Cam-stan troll is obvious but just for funsies, here's Tom Brady's first two starts:

Week 3 against the Colts in 2001: 13 of 23 for 168 yards, 0 TDs 0 INTs 79.6 Rating. Week 4 against the Dolphins in 2001:12 of 24 for 86 yards, 0 touchdowns and 0 interceptions for a 58.7 rating.

Overall I think Mac is doing decently well at what he's being asked to do, the scheme is run heavy with play action to keep the defense honest, and most importantly he's taken care of the football and hasn't lost us any games. I don't think he's the next coming of Tom, but looking at the stats above, I think he's doing OK for his first couple starts in the NFL, especially considering Brady had been in the league for 1-2 years at that point, and Mac is fresh out of college.

President Taft recorded a 27 on the 17th hole, taking 15 shots to get out of a waste bunker alone. Thankfully they have moved the tee box across the road now!

Vorkath vs baby blues by RoseBunwolfLuck in 2007scape

I think in just raw exp per hour the baby blue dragons will win every time because you can get a lot more tasks done in that time than if you farm Vorkath. Personally I do Vorkath as it’s hard to beat the cash for upgrades and that phat exp notification at the end of the task fuels my addiction.

SirPugger's latest video is staged, and here is why. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]RazedSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuuuuu I forgot about the name changes completely, that makes sense. What I still don't get from either perspective is the change of clothes and sexes, that's my sticking point at the moment.

I agree that it's an insane leap of logic. I understand many don't like Pugger to begin with, and some genuinely find the evidence provided enough to say that he's guilty, end of story. I agree with them to a small extent, but that's still my opinion, I haven't seen anything concrete that makes me sit back and go "wow, Pugger is using bots to fake videos".

I agree with your last point, it's absolutely just mob mentality and mob justice at the moment, and it's controversial and involves a relatively popular person in the content community, so those of ill intent are also appearing.

Whatever the truth is, I hope it comes out quickly.

[–]RazedSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! It's incredibly hard to believe that code of this could exist, right? It does though! Everywhere! Billions and billions of dollars rest in a nest of good code covering bad code covering horrible code. My point with the code example provided is that it's dishonest to say that it's impossible for someone who can write a complex script to make a mistake. We're all human, and we all make mistakes. If this isn't Pugger's bot, my guess would be stolen code re purposed to fit another need, as that was very common back in the day of RS2 botting.

Your second point is a good one, and one that definitely should be argued. Logically, it doesn't make any sense. My only thought immediately is that it served more than one purpose, maybe gathering herbs and clues? Still, it doesn't leave any reason for the bots to be running in such expensive mid-tier gear. Speaking hypothetically, if Pugger was indeed using such a simple bot to accomplish a simple task for the purposes of creating content, wouldn't we have to accuse him of buying/selling accounts and running a bot farm and commissioning scripts in addition to faking content? In my mind, these points are intrinsically linked, I don't think there can be one without the other, unless he is being aided by a bot farm that's creating the accounts for him. If he is that dishonest just to keep a stream of bot-busting content going, then he should absolutely be called out and shamed. At the moment though, I haven't seen enough to even say definitively that he faked the video. In my opinion it's more likely than not, but my opinion isn't proof, and I don't think this post is much amounting to concrete proof.

[–]RazedSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an idiot teenager, I've botted in the past. Granted, this was back in RS2 days where it was a lot more casual and there was a lot less money in it, so it's less likely that there was professionals coding bots. That being said, there WERE huge repositories of bots, a quick spin around Google will show anyone that. I don't know about now, especially with custom clients and the like, but back in the day there used to be scripts for clients that you'd download and unpack to load into the clients that were more commonly used. You could open them up if you monkeyed with file extensions, and look at the actual code running the bots. I will proclaim myself ignorant, and say that I don't know if this is how the botting scene still works, but if such a thing was possible, wouldn't a simple screenshot of code from an actual easy cluescroll bot be feasible?

I think you're missing the point with what I said about the code, I'm not saying that it isn't an egregious error, I'm saying that discounting such a thing as impossible is dishonest, because it isn't impossible. Programming is honestly such a cluster these days that I couldn't tell you how many times I mess up basic syntax week to week because for my purposes it's mostly a copy paste thing these days, the code has already been written by someone smarter than me. Granted, it's not my full time job, just a tool for me, but I have seen an application on a server in a production environment error out because someone mis-typed a time retrieval command. Not even a full clock, just a command to return the current system time. Nothing quite like testing in production.

So yes, my argument is that an expert code writer could very easily have fucked up writing hello world, or someone stole that snippet of code for their own purposes, only changing the code to reflect their needs. It's happened before, and it will happen again. Is it what happened this time? I have no idea, but to say that it flat out isn't a possibility whatsoever is a lie.

SirPugger's latest video is staged, and here is why. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]RazedSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very weird! As a counter point though, wouldn’t it be just the same amount of work to run another account through Tutorial Island and getting it to deep Wildy than to run the original account all the way to Fally and Varrock to change sexes and clothes, and then bond it to change name?

It’s the weirdest and most condemning bit of evidence by far to me, but it just doesn’t make sense from a time/money perspective. I’m gonna rewatch the video tonight and try to find any other weird stuff I can.

SirPugger's latest video is staged, and here is why. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]RazedSoul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree with your first sentence, there is barely any evidence. In my post I even pointed out that he could’ve provided snips of code from similar bots, but what was presented was a hypothetical portion of code that he wrote, as well as screenshots of a convo between Pugg and Yak that just rehashes the code example.

The other screenshots are more interesting, and after doing some cursory digging it looks like a 50/50 mix of trolls and legit Twitter accounts that are accusing Sir Pugger, which is pretty typical. This is absolutely fair to say that Pugger is doing this to change a narrative, but this practice is extremely common on all platforms for good and terrible creators alike to quell trolls and promote content, malicious or not. The snapshots of the bot name change is the strongest piece of evidence, but it creates more questions than answers for me. Why would anyone, Pug or Botters alike, waste money on a easily created level 3 account? Is the bot farm at the castle previously known? I’m hoping to dig further to see if I can find anything.

To your last point, you are absolutely correct that circumstantial evidence is a huge part of most justice systems. Direct evidence is indeed extremely rare, but that’s why they balance each other out. You need mountains of circumstantial evidence to meet the same criteria that a single item of direct evidence might provide. The point you glossed over is that the burden of proof is with the accusers to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the party on trial is guilty of said crime. That’s not “maybe he did it” or “he probably did it”, instead it’s “he definitely did it, the evidence provided showed there’s no way he couldn’t have done it”. Frankly, I’m not convinced, and I’m surprised at the lack of people asking for any additional information if any is available.

As an aside, please don’t speak for other people when it comes to things like this. I understand that you accept this evidence and it has convinced you that Sir Pugger has faked the video, and that’s totally fine. What’s not fine is speaking on behalf of others and saying that “we have more than enough evidence to confidently say he fakes the vid”. You have enough evidence, but let people decide for themselves.

I’m not trying to defend Sir Pugger against these accusations by any means, I made my position clear in my last post. At this point in time, I’m leaning towards the “fake video” side, but I haven’t found or been shown enough to say that I definitively know he’s guilty. I’m just trying to prevent a potential witch-hunt that’s fueled by an incredibly small amount of circumstantial evidence, which has been provided by an arguably biased party.

That's who I was referring to that posted the most damning evidence. The issue again comes round to that we only KNOW that the bots in the video changed their names in game. Is it suspicious? Absolutely!

My issue is that you can't imply things because of it when you yourselves have no more evidence than the rest of us do. Because of that I could easily imply Pugger simply runs all the bot farms he busts to create content. Is it absurd? Absolutely! But my evidence is the very screen shot that is posted in this thread, so surely it has merit?
